  1. 2010 Sport AWD. I replaced all the interior bulbs with white LED bulbs. The dome light for the back seat that is controlled with the front dome light (not the 2 switchable ones) does not turn off completely. When on it is on, but when lights go off this one bulb does not completely turn off, rather it stays dimly lit. Is this a faulty bulb? The only thing I could think of is that the car is always running a very small amount of current through the circuit for some kind of bulb checking reason. Is this possible? I don't think the LED being dimly lit will drain my battery, but i would like to know if it is the bulb or car.
  2. 2010 Sport AWD. When I have my door open and key in accessory position in order to listen to music, like when cleaning the inside of the car, the "key in" chime stays on. Any way to go around that?
  3. Thank you for that information. Do you happen to know where I can access these wires? Or their color?
  4. 2010 Sport awd. I would like to gain access to the wires for the puddle lamps. I am assuming the best place would be right inside the car at the connector for the door? Can anyone shed some light on the best possible place to find them? And possibly the colors of the wires? I want to hook them up to a switch that I can use to control them and turn them on whenever, other than now when they light only when entering/exiting the vehicle.THANKS.
  5. Thank you for the reply. My 1993 ford Taurus was easily changed as well, three bolts and the tensioner was right there. I will have to change the alternator for the high current capabilities the aftermarket one will have to have in order keep up with the demand of the audio system, and a capacitor will not work as a solution. I do already know where the alternator is located, I was hoping someone who had changed or removed one might be able to tell me which way they found the easiest to go about it, and offer any tips or hints that could help me. I apologize for any confusion.
  6. I have a 2010 Sport 3.5 AWD. I will be purchasing an aftermarket high output alternator to help with the high powered audio system I will be installing. Does anyone know the easiest way to remove the alternator to replace it? Does it have to be removed from underneath the car?
  7. I will eventually be replacing all my speakers for aftermarket ones in my 2010 fusion with sony system. Since I will no longer be using sony speakers, I would not like all of the speaker grills in the car to say it. I realize the radio will still say it up on startup. If the non sony fusions had all the same size and shape grilles in the locstions but no badge or speaker underneath, I might try to find one at a junkyard or somewhere and swap them out for mine.if not possible, I was going to maybe see how the little badge was attached to the grill, from behind, and then perhaps take a solder iron and melt the plastic mounting point if possible. Any thoughts, or ideas?
  8. Does anybody know of a company that offers them? I have a 2010 Fusion sport AWD.Thanks.
