  1. bbf2530, Thanks. This is what I'm getting when I want to select the time zone when adding a remote start. Its stuck showing Detroit. When choosing Detroit, it comes up blank. It showed Chicago before daylight savings time switch.
  2. Another question. Did the app get an update? Reason being when using the (Schedule Start) area, it's locked to the Detroit time zone. Previousmy, it was and should be Chicago. I'm not sure if it was caused by switching to daylight savings time, as I just noticed it on the evening of the 13th.
  3. Watched a couple YouTube videos, and like what I've seen. I sent the info to my son, he's got a '87 Jaguar XJS that he needs to drop the rear end out of. If he orders 1 and I order 1, then we'll have 2. I'd also have to get the Dodge adapter for the wife's car.
  4. Thanks for that akirby!! I've not heard of them and will look them up.
  5. bbf2530, I know exactly what your talking about. I still look every now and then. It would be nice to be able to take the wheels off and clean the back side of them every now and then. One would figure with all the YouTube videos out there, someone would have made on for floor jack placement for these cars.
  6. I plan on using locktite unless Steeda supplies longer studs.
  7. I installed the jacking rails on the Fusion today. Did not have to jack the car up for the install. After looking close at the instructions and using a mirror, I was able to see everything. They went on in less than 30 minutes. That includes moving the car over in the garage, getting a drop light, tools and a rug to lay on. Was very happy with the quality of their product except for one item. The stud for the rear bolt does not come all the way through the nut, it sits flush. The front stud has 3 to 4 threads sticking out of the nut. I'm going to have to keep an eye on this or remove the rails. I'm afraid the because of normal vibrations, the nut will eventually back off. I contacted Steeda and waiting to see what they say.
  8. I'm not sure if it's possible to have heated door handles. Just one of those fleeting thoughts I had when the door handles were ice covered.
  9. Heated the exterior door handles to melt ice build up. Used the Ford Pass App to start the car a couple weeks ago when it was freezing rain here. Went out to the car and the door handles were iced over almost to the point they were hard to open. What else should Ford have done???
  10. I've got the Huskey mats in my '18. Absolutly love them. Just wash them with a waterless wash and dry with a microfiber towel.
  11. Thanks, one would think there would be a place for floor jacks/ jack stands. I would think a tire shop would use a four point lift for tire changes.
  12. Bought a set of them when I bought their hood struts. Struts went on easier than I thought. I plan on installing the jacking rails when it gets a bit warmer (getting to old to lay on a cold garage floor). Anyway, I looked through the owners manual for a guide to jack he car. Where's the safest place to jack it and place it on jack stands? Thanks.
  13. Thanks, I was thinking there was something I needed to do besides pressing the start/stop button. I do have a different issue that I'm going to ask the dealer on its next service.
  14. When it's cold outside, maybe 35 degrees and colder I'll get this message after pressing the stop engine button. Sometimes I'll listen to the radio while waiting for someone. This message comes on after 3-4 minutes, but not sure what it means. I've also come out to the car and see it displayed. Doesn't show the message when it's above 35-40 degrees.
  15. Bbf2530, After getting home turning the car off and opening the door, it took about 15 seconds for the radio and screen to turn off. Went out a few hours later and it was back to normal. I thought it may have something to do with the Ford Pass App acting up. It did have trouble connecting in the morning when I wanted to schedule a start. If it happens again, I will contact my dealer.
  16. I received my apology notice last night. Used the app to schedule a start this morning. Then on the way home from work, the sync screen froze. Could not turn off the heated steering wheel, or switch screens.
  17. Wound up uninstalling and reinstalling the Ford Pass App on my phone. After signing in the picture of my car is no longer there, but all the other info was there. The vehicle location now works again.
  18. Not sure if this is the right area. Last week the Ford Pass App has been able to locate my car. (2018 Fusion) I have a Samsung phone, and am able to start the car with it and see other things. Just this week I noticed it can't locate my car. The location setting is turned on in the phone. Just wondering if Ford discontinued the feature?
  19. I've got to watch this one next. Thanks for posting it.
  20. I've been surfing the forums and ran across this old thread. Saw a you tube video the other day from Dallas Paint Correction and Detailing. He has what I think is a good video on leather care. Its a mixture of Woolite and water.
  21. Thanks for the input. I will give this a try and see how it runs in the summer.
  22. Reading my manual for our 2018 Fusion with the 2.0 Ecoboost. It says it's designed to run on 87 octane. It also says to run premium during the hot times of the year. Is it really necessary to run premium during the hot summer? Here in Oklahoma, our temps will run anywhere from the mid 90's to low 100's.
  23. Thanks for the info and video link. Doesn't seem to terribly hard, just time consuming. I was thinking that they would get power from the door switch and not the dome light.
  24. We should take delivery of our 2018 Platinum saturday. When I built it online, the only options I put on it were the trunk cargo net and lighted door sill plates. Dealer found one of the color that I want 250 miles away. They should be going to go get it today or tomorrow. Cargo net is no big deal, as I can get one from there parts department. Question is, If I ordered the lighted sill plates, will they be an easy plug in, or will I have to run wires. It's not a deal breaker for me, just think it would be cool to have. Thanks,
  25. Finally bought my Fusion. Built a Titanium of Ford's page, listed close to $36,000. After a little more research, I found all the options I put on the titanium came standard on the Platnium for almost the same money. Needless to say, the dealer found what I was looking for a couple hundred miles away. They are going to get it Monday or Tuesday. I should have it next weekend!! Chose the color White Gold.
