I'm starting to think you should've gotten a 65' Mustang.
-
I was responding to his last post which he states they got into the habit of getting into the car, starting the engine and leaving the doors open before turning on the A/C.
-
I would have to go try it again, but as I posted earlier, I'm pretty sure if the car is running and the door is open the center screen will show you have an open door. if you press the OK button on the left side of the steering wheel the chime will turn off.

headlight delay page 68 of 2014 book
RybSE replied to bill3337's topic in Glass, Headlights, Fog lamps, Lenses & Window Tint
Also, if you have your headlights turned on to Automatic they will stay on after you exit the vehicle from 10 seconds up to 3 minutes. You can set the time delay using the steering wheel's left control pad. -
Also, if I remember correctly, if the car is running and the door is open you can press "okay" on the steering wheel's left control pad to acknowledge you know the door is open and then it stops.

2014 SE. The chime sounds 3 times to alert you to fasten your seat belt. If the seat belt is fastened then no chime. If you fasten it while it's chiming it will stop after 1 or 2 depending when the seat belt latches. (This is with the key is in the ignition)

headlight delay page 68 of 2014 book

The book states the headlights will stay on for 3 minutes when any door is open. 30 seconds after all the doors are closed. -
My 2014 SE has it as well, but based on the fact I wouldn't have noticed it without this thread it will be way down on my list of things to worry about.
-
It was noticeably lower, but didn't bottom out. I had a front spoiler so caution was always the key going over bumps, though there were a lot less back in the mid-70s. I eventually got tired of doing stuff like that and bought a Porsche.

OEM Remote Start - 1 Fob (2013 SE)
RybSE replied to Tim.'s topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Locks & Remote Start
Not really, plus I hope I never reach a point when I think something like remote start is necessary. -
I've owned one car (not a Ford) where I had it lowered. Turning was flatter and more stable. The ride wasn't substantially worse, but it certainly wasn't better.

OEM Remote Start - 1 Fob (2013 SE)
RybSE replied to Tim.'s topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Locks & Remote Start
My 2014SE doesn't have remote start. Living in Southern California I can't come up with any reason to have it. -
2014 Fusion SE - Press the voice command button on the steering wheel. After Siri talks, say "USB". The system changes from Line in to USB.

And the customer gets billed for 6 hours. I've always loved creative accounting.

Only $300?!? Just let Ford fix it.
-
Thanks. Mine is a 2014 Sterling Grey Metallic. I'll put it on the list of things to do. I like the fin better than the stick.
-
Found they're also available on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/2007-2014-Fusion-Antenna-Custom-Painted/dp/B008FSKC6G/ref=sr_1_1/192-1809841-1088841?ie=UTF8&qid=1403231515&sr=8-1&keywords=shark+fin+antenna+for+ford+fusion They claim they match the body color code.
-
Nice. Is this available from Ford? Is it an easy swap?
-
I think the fin is a better look, but I don't know if it gets better or worse reception. I do know Sirius Radio sucks, but that's the broadcast out and not the reception in.
-
2014 Fusion SE - Is there a specific reason why Ford went with the "stick" antenna instead of the "fin" antenna most of the comparable models have?
-
They would look good on my Sterling Grey Metallic.
