  1. This link is a very good explanation with pics. jameshalderman.com/conferences/Coolant_NACAT_2010.ppt https://www.autoserviceworld.com/carsmagazine/good-bye-to-the-green/
  2. HA. I guess at first look that would be sorta confusing. I work for Ford. My family has two 2010 Fusion Sel,one V6 and one I4. We have two 2010 Milan Premier, also one V6 and one I4. Plus the other two and a 2011 Ford Flex. I don't like the 3.5 Liter engines for one main reason. The water pump. It bit my wallet big time.
  3. It's my understanding the I4 and V6 both use the Motorcraft Specialty Green (VC10 A2) with the 2 meaning non diluted. http://www.fordservicecontent.com/Ford_Content/catalog/owner_guides/10fsnog4e.pdf On page 321 for the 2010 model year. It doesn't list a difference for the engines. Looks like ZEREX Asian Vehicle Antifreeze Coolant meets the Ford Specification WSS-M97B55-A. https://sharena21.springcm.com/Public/Document/18452/803a8057-fe75-e711-9c10-ac162d889bd3/d5fc71df-0cbd-e711-9c12-ac162d889bd1 https://www.fcsdchemicalsandlubricants.com/Main/product.asp?product=Specialty%20Green%20Engine%20Coolant%20with%20Bittering%20Agent&category=A/C%20and%20Engine%20Cooling%20Products. The Zerex G 05 matches with the Motorcraft Specialty Gold and the Ford Specification WSS-M97B51-A1 which my 09 Focus and 07 Escape uses. My question would be could you use the Dark Green in place of the Yellow/Gold ? Is it better ?
  4. I have two. My son has my 2010 SEL 2.5 and I drive the 2010 SEL 3.0 I think the 2.5L is powerful enough and easy to work on. I bought it with 70,000 miles and it now has 130,000. Great on gas and nothing but normal maintenance. I just bought the 3.0L recently and I get around 30mpg back and forth to work. That engine is strong. The suspension doesn't feel as tight as the 2.5L . Not sure what it is. It has new shocks and struts. I will say this. I change the tires to the Goodyear Assurance Comfort Tread and my gas mileage definitely went up. I was surprised. Another guy at work said the same thing. It had some cheap Sentury tires. It's what I buy now. With a double rebate of $160 with their card it's a good deal.
  5. This link will give you a lot of information on your vehicle. https://www.fleet.ford.com/resources/ford/general/pdf/maintenance/vin-decoder/VIN2010.pdf
  6. Spark plugs can get confusing with the numbers and what will work with the 2010 Fusion 3.0. The pic in the above post shows SP511 with the {CGSF22F ,SP518}. SP511 is with the CGSF22F ,the F for Fine wire Platinum, while SP518 is with the CGSF22N, with the N being for Nickel I assume. The dealer recommended SP518A which is CGSF22NA1, which I think is a basic plug. I prefer to get the best Motorcraft plug which is applicable with my engine. Some sites say the SP511 replaces CGSF22N ,SP518 Is the SP511 the best Motorcraft plug for the 3.0 ? C = Thread Diameter = 14 mm G = Reach = .708" or 18mm Conical Seat S = Plug Characteristic = Suppressor (Carbon) F = Plug Characteristic = Conical Seat 2 = Heat Range = Cold (Stock) 2 = Tip Configuration = Extended (Power) Tip F = Plug Characteristic = Fine wire Platinum Electrode
