  1. Yeah I am very unhappy with the service I am receiving. I saw some scratches on my doors on the inside but I dismissed it. I understand they had to remove the doors and get into them so whatever, I understand. But this is kind of ridiculous.. The product is "idQ A/C & HEATER DUCT CLEANER" (Amazon link). From the reviews, it sounds like it is only a temporary solution for some people. My #1 concern is all the reviews for products like that is that people say it's when their a/c blows out stinky stuff, but my problem is before the car is even on, and goes away when the a/c is on! I guess I just don't think it will help. I hope I didn't confuse you, because my mind is all over the place, but their options were 1) to remove the dash and actually fix the issue hands on, or 2) for me to use some kind of odor eliminator like the one you & I linked and hope it fixes it. Sigh I hate this.
  2. That's a good point. They did detail and clean my car after they finished working on the door though so I'm not sure if I should have them do it again unless it's free. Also, if it is in the carpets would the smell go away because I turned on the a/c? It is worth a shot though I am going to give them a call. Thanks!
  3. Hi, I just purchased a new Fusion a little over a month ago. I had to take it in for service because the doors wouldn't unlock when I place my hand on the handles on the driver side. It worked fine on the right side doors. This was how it was when I first purchased the car. They had to take both driver side doors apart and they ended up fixing the issue by replacing the part that controls the unlocking via the key pad on the door. (Sorry if I don't have the terms right). Anyways, it's all fixed now BUT ever since I took it back from service (it was there for almost 2 weeks) there is a stinky pee-like odor that is in my car whenever it's been hot out and sitting in the sun - when it is cooler out, it doesn't seem to smell. It goes away pretty quickly once I have the a/c going. I called service and they said it is a common problem (they didn't even look at the car or anything) and that they would have to remove the WHOLE DASH which would probably scratch it up since machines put the car together and it will be humans doing it in service (this is all their words). This is really annoying since this is a brand new car and they are telling me it's probably going to get scratched... They suggested me to buy a product myself that I can do at home which basically eliminates odors, I can't remember the product name at the moment, but I wonder if it is even worth my time to try something like that, especially considering most of them that I google'd leave a strong smell. Does anyone have any insight on what the issue is and what route I should take?
  4. Okay I am going to the dearlership. Waldo, I didn't even think to try the other side of the car! It doesn't work on the driver's door and the back of that same side... It works for both the doors on the other side though! Good discovery, maybe the dealership can figure it out. Thank you!
  5. Hi! I've owned my 2014 Ford Fusion Titanium for 3 weeks now and the (i'm not sure what it's called) doors won't unlock/lock with the key in my other hand, purse, pocket, etc. I am holding the handle like I am about to open it but it never does anything. The dealership said it's always user error when people have this issue. I went through the settings on the dash regarding unlock/lock and everything looks fine... It hasn't worked from the beginning, not just something that started happening. The key works just fine for push start etc and there are no problems with anything else. Side note: My husband works at the dealership and has tested many other fusions and they all worked, but when he does it with my car it doesn't work, so I highly doubt it IS user error. He told the service manager there and it's been weeks and i'm tired of waiting so I am asking here!
