  1. I recently decided to upgrade my sound system. Because of SYNC, I decided to stick with the stock HU and upgrade all the speakers and add an amp. After listening to a lot of different speakers, I was struck by the amazing SQ of Hertz. They are an Italian company, who also makes Audison amps. So I had all the work done, and the owner of the shop I had it done at decided to showcase it on his website. The SQ of the system installed in the car absolutely blows away what I heard from the display in the store. For those interested, you can check out Hertz here - http://www.hertzaudiovideo.com/ and Audison amps here - http://www.audison.eu I'll leave it to the dealers site to explain the install. He also took a lot of pics that are on the Flickr site he link. If anyone is in the area and needs work done, I highly recommend these guys.... http://www.mobileedgeonline.com/wp-content...audison-system/
  2. So you're saying the SYNC doesn't work with the NAV upgrade? I like the factory Nav, and would love to upgrade, but I'm not giving up my SYNC. I will stick with a nice mounted Tom Tom.
  3. I'll have to check with my dealer if they will do a remote start on a manual. There are a lot of overrides (clutch on start and neutral check) to be installed, so a lot of places won't touch them. I will definitely look into you other thread. And I will definitely have a pro doing it. I'm figuring on this place, they come pretty highly recommended in this area...
  4. I'm going to do something similar in the meantime. I must admit, after three days with my car, this is definitely the loudest stereo I've ever had stock. Not necessarily the best, but definitely loudest. There is a place near me that specializes in working with stock HU but upgrading the rest of the system.... I'm also going to have them install my remote start on with clutch and gear overrides.
  5. I just purchased a similar Fusion, but mine has the leather and SAP. I really love the Vapor Silver.
  6. This would be amazing news. I'm definitely looking forward to installing an aftermarket nav system in, but don't want to lose my SYNC.
  7. Thanks for the quick reply folks. I will definitely take the cutting out the hole advice into account. Like you said, worse case scenario is that I have to buy the new rear fascia as planned. I didn't want that single exhaust to be a deal breaker, and paying $3000 more for a V6 automatic just isn't a value for me. I just really like the symmetry of the dual exhaust, it balances the car really well.
  8. I hate to dredge up an old topic, but my question pretty much relates to this. I just test drove an 08 I-4 5 speed manual with the SAP yesterday. Much to my chagrin, it didn't have dual exhaust, and I found you can only get the duals with the V6. But if you go that route, you lose the stick. So I started looking around, and all the body kits seem to say that the V6 kit won't fit the I-4. That doesn't sound right, does it? If I go to to the body shop and have them order me an 08 SE V6 fascia (or is it just the lower valance I would need?), would they be able to install that no problem if I ordered the Magnaflow cat back duals?
