  2. I need help figuring out how to fix this problem, this morning when I took the key out of my IG ition my odometer stayed on, also after I locked my doors my back headlights stayed on. Usually after I press the lock button they turn on and off right away

    Welcome!

I recommend setting up an appointment with your dealer to have this checked out. What's your mileage?

  3. If you are still under the B2B warranty then I would for sure follow Meagan's suggestion and get it dealt with at the dealership for free. If you are looking for someone to give you an idea of what is wrong because it was missed the first time, then my DIY hobbyist guess would be stuck/clogged idle adjustment valve or engine mounts.

    Thanks! :hat_tip:

  4. Defrosters work fine ,middle heat will melt your glasses , Heat at the floor vents is almost none existent . Ford dealer tech says use heat only in inside mode which immediately causes all windows but windshield to frost up heavily . So much for that good idea .

    Welcome, Erich!

When was your most recent dealer visit to have this checked out? Please let me know, along with your mileage.

  5. Hi,

I was wondering if your issue with the remote start was resolved? My 2013 Fusion Hybrid is having the exact same issue. Naturally, the morning I took it to the dealer it started working again, and it was chalked up to user error. Two days later when I tried it, it wasn't working again. Looking for any advice so I don't return to the dealer feeling like an idiot.

    Thanks!

    Hi dreamich38,

If you decide to head back to your dealer, please let me know (along with your mileage.) I'm unable to diagnose concerns or suggest repairs, so your dealer's in the best position to do so.

  6. 2014 Fusion SE w/ 1.5L Ecoboost and 33k miles

A couple of weeks ago noticed the engine started vibrating while at idle. Doesn't matter if in gear or in park. Also had an instance where the radio would not turn on. Took it to the dealer (still under warranty) and they said the two issues were related and that it was frayed wires in the dash. They took it for a day, repaired it and the engine still vibrates. No CEL has illuminated nor any other obvious signs of a problem. Has anyone else had this happen? The car will be going back to resolve this issue before the warranty is up.

    Welcome, turbotim2!

Heading back to your dealer is a great idea. Once you have an appointment set up, please let me know, along with your mileage.

  7. ...22,000 miles in 3 years

I've had a few recalls that have needed fixing. I have a current water issue. Water under Driver seat and not sure where it's coming from.

But all in all no issues. Only issue I've had is with the local Ford dealership that we've had to deal with.

Ironically my warranty ends today 12/21/15. Will be on the phone with Ford as soon as they open.

    Hi Steph78,

Have you been able to get a hold of your dealer today? I recommend heading in to get your concerns taken care of. Please let me know when you have an appointment set up.

  8. Hello, I am new to the forum. I have a 2014 Fusion Hybrid SE with 18282 miles on it. I just went on a 1500 mile road trip experiencing all kinds of weather including snow and rain. Returned a couple days ago. The car is still under warranty. Yesterday, a day after returning, while coming back from shopping the wrench light came on. I stopped the vehicle, turned it off and then turned it back on and it was gone. I checked the owner's manual and it just says it is a powertrain problem and to take it to the dealer. This is pretty alarming this early in the ownership. What could be causing it? How can I identify what threw the code? Is there a record of it stored somewhere? Thanks.

    Hi Sky14Fusion,

I recommend heading to your dealer to have this looked into. Once you have an appointment set up, please let me know.

  9. So my side mirror controller doesn't really work anymore. The problem I have is that it works with left and down but not right and up. Any idea what the problem is

  10. Musfang,

As I was refilling my 2016 Ford Fusion SE Hybrid, I noticed this exact same thing - front of the hood misaligned. Hadn't noticed it before. So I did a search and came across your posting. Did the dealer repair it? Did it resolve the issue? Thanks for the help.

    Hi MoreTrife,

I'm happy to look into this further. Please private message me your VIN, mileage, best daytime phone number, full name, and dealer name/location.

  11. Like some other users here I noticed today that the Climate Control options on my 2013 Ford Fusion (mine's a hybrid, not sure if that matters) are all greyed out.

I recently took the car in for one of the recalls for some sort of flash and honestly I'm not sure if that's what changed the options to grey and unavilable or not.

Now that it's getting colder I noticed that when I used the remote start the seats arne't warm and the front and rear defrosters weren't on and when I tried to change the setting everything was grey :(

From what I've read I suppose that I'll need to take it into the dealership...

    Hi netsurf121,

Heading to your dealer is a great first step. Once you have an appointment set up, please let me know, along with your mileage.

  12.

You can't - they're independently owned businesses. Did you go to the owner (dealer principal)? That would be the first step. If they can't help then contact Meagan above with FordService or just take it to another dealer.

Thanks! We don't have a Canada rep on the board at the moment, so any Canadians should head to their Twitter, Facebook, or Customer Relationship Center (1-800-565-3673 (M-F 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET))

  13. Current milage is about 37K. I don't even dare going to the dealer for something like this. When I asked them to do a tire balancing, they scratched my wheels and acted like nothing happened. It didn't even occur to them that they need to pay attention and be more carful when they do any type of work. This was done at Hasset Ford in Wantagh, NY.

Thanks! If you change your mind and head to a dealer to have this checked, please let me know.

  14. I have a 2013 Fusion Ecoboost, the same thing happens to me, when I start it in the morning, it's fine, but if I let it sit for about15 minutes, then stalls on restarts. Been doing it quite a bit, took it to the dealer, they also tried to duplicate it, I told them that it sits for about 15 minutes, they only let it sit for 5. They also told me that no codes are coming up. Changed to a tank of premium gas, thinking it may be the gas. Stalled twice on me tonight. I know your frustration with it because I'm dealing with it too. Someone told me to reset the ECU, I haven't done that yet, but if anyone has, please let me know if that works. The past few months ( and the dealer I am dealing with ) have been rough dealing with recall stuff. I'm also thinking about getting rid of this car.

    Welcome, LeeAnn!

  15. I have a 2013 Fusion Hybrid that has been running great with no issues and now 2 days in a row driving down the road it shuts down completely while still driving. Have to coast off the road to put in park and cycle the key to get running again. Both times it was in the battery mode and won't switch over or nothing just dies. I live in the mountains that ain't cool...Especially when it is my wife's car. Has anybody had or heard of this issue?

    Thanks

  16. I purchased a 2012 Ford Fusion back in May of 2014. When I bought it, it had 26,000 miles on it. Well anyways, I have noticed that at times it seems the car gets confused on whether to shift up or not. A couple of times when I am trying to merge and accelerate on the highway, the car will like "freeze" and not shift up to the next gear. If I let off the gas completely, and reapply pressure, the car will then shift up fine. Is this an onboard computer problem that controls the shifting? Or a physical problem with the transmission? There was also one time I put it in reverse and pressed on the gas, and it revved and then jolted back like a foot. I put it in park, put it back in reverse, and it reversed fine. It's only happened a few times, but with the car only being at 50,000 miles now, I am somewhat worried for later on down the road. What do you all think? Something minor not to worry about? Or is this an early sign of transmission failure?

    Hi liliceman77,

I recommend you head to your dealer for a diagnosis. Please let me know once you do, and I'll look into some options.
