  1. Running fine but took a few days. Second-day it began acting up again before smoothing out again. Third day started and idled fine, was fully normal and has been fine since. Seems that so much excess vapor was wanting to lean out the fuel/air but was not possible. Huge headache from not being careful!
  2. Thank You for the reply. Going to keep ontop of this and will update once able.
  3. Having some issues after mistakenly leaving the pump partially inserted. Filled ahead of the Winter Weather ahead of the weekend and drove today - weak take-off from stop and a flashing CEL which then became fully illuminated but the car cleared up as far as driveability. I imagine the EVAP and Charcoal Filter System have excess filler, will this return to normal at some point? Have never had this happen!
  4. Is this the right time to suggest Exterior / Interior Colors?? Corvette in 1963 had Daytona Blue w/ Blue interior. Sharp dressed. Offer a Sport Cloth interior also, like the 2011 SE Sport Appearance Option has done.
  5. Ford should reconsider an upcoming Fusion Wagon for the US Market. My Reasoning: The visible working-model, Subaru's Outback - a crossover, is only a success and long-standing because, well, it's a Subaru. What demographic exists for the Subaru buying experience is firstly a remote, rural environment that just happens to be domiciled. Dirt roads, harsh winter weather to have to contend with which brings options of Station Wagon body-styles into convenience. Choosing a Subaru at the brands inception was seen as a purpose-driven decision; Buyers of their wagon would either be using it's enormous interior space daily or would have a lifestyle that would define such a vehicle. Most always the alternate vehicle if not a Subie, it was Volvo. Just how those things were. Ford already has these type vehicles however. There is the Edge and there's the Escape. The Escape is near the epitome of another dynamic vehicle for rural environments - upstate Vermont for example has many on the roads. Ford seeking a segment in this type of lifestyle-market - though something deserving on each end of things - would not sustain itself as well as the other-option. The option which I had immediately thought was the direction for the Brand. It would not even need to be the only configuration - that should be clearly stated before addressing the void in the wagon portion of new car buying. The Taurus and the Explorer were a common unit-body which hints at other packaging and, kinda-sorta what I am hoping can come to be. European sportwagon. But - a more realistic package than the CT-V Cadillac that came and went. SHO or similar powertrain, even FWD only, but in road-going proportions. If there exists efficiency within Ford to either have an Outback ride-height and tire-package and, also maintain a car for the roads that'd be market-leading. An option such as this does not have to be sport-tuned on all ends either. Compliant, but composed, suspension tuning with a rigid chassis would be all that's needed. A realistic version of the AMG/M-Series Wagons that dominated the Autobahn but were also large, high HP vehicles. What is Press Release material from July showing the Mondeo has excellent exterior styling. I'd not bother making such the Internet posting but, recent unaffiliated media-house type of online news sites show a Ford Fusion that is up on its tiptoes and, looking outshined by its own brand. To me - that's an Explorer. It'd be nice, if there was not already a Explorer to own. European station-wagon options were wildly popular and Ford could wisely and firmly position itself an automaker rooted and creating tangible vehicles which also become commodities, leading all other Automakers.
  6. No need for cutting into wiring; had hoped a relaxed relay/capacitor existed or was able to be transposed from another car on the road. Just going to continue to fake it for now. Thanks for the replies.
  7. For 2012 Fusions is there an off the shelf relay that allows a count of Turn Signal indication per use? I'm forgetting in my old-age for how long I use the soft-on function sometimes; my most recent rental car will always throw me off.
  8. Thanks, again. Having hoped for bolting the OE seats in place while finding controls in-place or as part of the general seat installation are the limits for spinning these wrenches. Forums Members are helpful as always; I appreciate it.
  9. Only sourced a great pair of used seats - holding-out that relevant controls would be attached or, near. Should the power-adjust features be direct plug-in that'd motivate the upgrade still. At best this was looking for a workaround for having to dismantle a dashboard...
  10. The 2012 FlexFuel SE v6 driven daily will be taking a cross country trip soon and SEL seats have been located as an upgrade before I head out. These are the heated leather; my interior is cloth but with power front Driver Seat. I have read that as the Fusions of this generation became assembled, a general working model of interconnecting wiring was provided to all the vehicles regardless of trim package. Is it possible the inter-connect for my SE will have a shared-relay for the Heated Seat function? My SE does not have the heated mirrors; SE SYNC w/ Sunroof and Trunklid Spoiler. Also - how less-than-worth-it is committing to the OE controls as opposed to dumbing up a relay and detent switch somewhere on the seat surrounds?? Thanks in advance.
  11. My point was that for much much less overhead a competent fabricator and engine builder can create a set of headers and perhaps improve the flow of the intake and cylinder heads. A custom ground camshaft profile could be found and all for much less than 5k and with much better driveability. An honest 3-325HP which throws down vs. 4-500HP which will never hookup worth beans.
  12. 5000.00 and the car is stuck in the 14.00 second bracket? As much as 500HP (claimed) and this is the performance?? Crazy. I'd lose sleep at night if I had anything to do with this For that amount of money (and less...) the motor can be yanked out and balanced, fitted with custom exhaust and possbily even have much better intake tract profiles w/ cams. But - I don't know specifics about the Cylinder Heads. 5000.00??? Must be selling drugs.
  13. There is nothing more to contribute to this, I provided the next-most-likely problem area and that is your strut-bearings/strut mounts. These when trashed cause un-damped motion within the suspension and in the high speed variety. Making vibrations, and noise. Going deep into suspension work, only to replace strut mounts/strut bearings and not replace the struts is foolish and not replacing these items can ultimately crack shock towers. So - focus all your attention there and take this car to a professional. Good luck
  14. Unless there are tearing on the inner or outer CV rubber boots they'd not be a problem issue. Non 'Locker' axle As illustrated, when steering the outside wheel will turn revolutions at a higher rate than the inside wheel. A Locker-type axle (never on FWD cars) locks the axles together, all in the name of straightline traction. If a problem issue appears at inconsistent intervals this may be a cause; both semi-complete failures presenting itself as one in a matched timing of the two rotating-halves. You may simply have bad strut mounts, a pitted bearing may be rotating in and out of a pitted bearing-race also causing problem intervals.
  15. If this condition 'varies' then you have two parts which are in a state of fail. Warped rotors can cause vibration at-speed, if you have two worn CV Joints they can amplify the condition and also cancel (partly) the vibration. They are not in a 'locker' configuration so they will have different timing on rotation. Your tires however are less likely to have the same benefit.
  16. Does the Jeep-Wave apply during these situations also?
  17. Choking on a Suitcase Upside Down Jeep - starring oIIIo Pork Pants The Granny Panties These are movies titles I have made-up, but are my favorites.
  18. I find this Funny. Henry Ford and Thomas Edison shared a Summer Estate in Southwest Florida, producing many patents and contributing to Industry. ...and yet this Ford Motor licen... whoops, this componentry is brought to us... WHOOPS, being sold from the Chinese.
  19. Black and Chrome do go together... in fact it's quite popular.
  20. Coilover shocks are for adjusting preload @ the spring-perch, provide better balance at all corners. They are not for the street regardless of where they can be bought. So - either 1 or 2.
  21. So - Torque Wrench?
  22. Shock valving will obviously be varied by manufacturer - where these sit higher than the others will most likely have a greater threshold on compression stroke and rebound stroke. Ride quality should be priority first, and in fact your other shocks could simply have lost their static height. The fenderwell gaps you describe match my 2012SE.
  23. That may be an Intercooler, not a radiator - and the car could still be testing under estimated driving conditions.
