  1. Thanks for posting your experience. By "specialty shop" I assume you mean a place that specializes in Hybrid and Electric car repairs? Did they use an external battery charger or the car's engine/generator to charge/rebalance the battery?
  2. Mike, you're the 2nd known person to get this fixed at the dealer. Here is the other http://fordfusionhybridforum.com/topic/12638-wont-run-in-ev-mode-ice-kicks-in-immediately/?p=108874
  3. @jzavadil, Thanks very much for posting the Fusion Troubleshooting.pdf. It is very informative and I'm having the same problem. Do you have copies of the jpg files mentioned on the last page? Also some of the text in the upper right hand corner of the last page is blacked out. Do you have a better copy of this page?
  4. Lots of 2013/2014 transmissions have failed, there was a manufacturing issue with them http://fordfusionhybridforum.com/topic/10342-info-on-transmissions-ecvt-that-have-failed/?p=99077 Do you know when your car was made?
  5. Sorry didn’t mean to send to you

  6. Transmission blew at 81k mileage on a 2014.  Ford shop is covering under warranty but claims it was because the air shutter system was broken due a road debri collision about 2 weeks ago and that caused the transmission to overheat..In my haste to asses the damage after running over a metal plate on the road, I didn’t see anything as wrong other than the bottom most portion of the front bumper had an about 3 inch crack.  Most of the vanes had come loose and disappeared.  It seems highly suspicious that more air in the engine compartment would lead to overheating, any thoughts?

  7. Someone in the Fusion Hybrid forum had to pay $407 but was able to get 90% of the EV power back after having the dealer "rebalance" the battery cells. http://fordfusionhybridforum.com/topic/12638-wont-run-in-ev-mode-ice-kicks-in-immediately/?p=108946
  8. By far the best DIY software for Fords and the Fusion Hybrid is forscan.org They have recommendations on OBDII adapters on their site/forum. I highly recommend the OBDLink MX Bluetooth
  9. The wait for an update to Gen 1 Sync is getting ridiculous. Version 4.6 has been available for some other vehicles. Has anyone tried installing it on their Fusion?
  10. Anybody figure out if this is possible? Also, what model year did fog lights as DRL become a factory option? http://forscan.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2024&view=unread#p8736
  11. So what did the dealer charge you for the repair?
  12. All that testing was done without extra gas in the trunk. There is a big difference between the batteries exploding on their own and them causing a small spark when covered with gas.
  13. That's what I've done in previous years but I always end up getting gas smell in the car and it's not the safest to be carrying 10+ gallons of gas in the car. It's a hybrid so 275+ volts of batteries in the trunk. Easy to create a spark in an accident.
  14. I want to use my 2010 Fusion Hybrd fuel tank to transport large amounts (say 10 gal) of fuel for use in a boat. In order to do this I would need to siphon fuel from the car's gas tank I have read this link about the anti-siphon features of the Ford capless fuel filler. https://media.ford.com/content/fordmedia/fna/us/en/news/2011/07/01/ford-helps-prevent-fuel-theft-as-reports-of-illegal-gas-siphonin.html I know you can get by the top flapper by using the adapter Ford provides with the car for filling it from a gas can. But apparently there is another valve near the top of the tank. Has anyone tried to siphon from their Fusion?
