  1. If you have a MyTouch system then 3.8 is the latest update.
  2. You could go to a junkyard and get a sync module out of another fusion.........
  3. The latest version for the My Touch system is 3.8. DO NOT upgrade to that as it contains all of the same issues you have read about with SYNC 4.4. Be glad it says you are up to date.
  4. I have a 2013 with the basic system. I hope this means they are going to release the 4.6 update soon for us fusion owners
  5. Evidently FORD did something to the owner website. When you go to the SYNC software checker you get the following message Your vehicle is not SYNC equipped We're sorry. It appears your vehicle isn't equipped with SYNC. If you feel you received this message in error, please download our version checker and let us know you have SYNC. If you received this message and recently ran the version checker, please upload your confirmation now. Hopefully they get this fixed soon but based on the SYNC updates Im not holding my breath. P.S. The confirmation doesnt work either
  6. Be careful when updating your SYNC. The laetest version out is 3.8 for the My Touch systems but it has many reported issues. Stay with the version of SYNC you have and read through the forum to see what the issues with SYNC 3.8 (also know as SYNC 4.4 for the basic systems). Should you decide its a good idea to update be prepared to deal with those issues. Once you update you can not return to your old version
  7. Are you sure you want to stay with GEN 2 of SYNC? Since you have a mytouch system you can get the parts needed to upgrade to SYNC3 for a little under $2000. In your case it might be worth the cost.
  8. Crackling is a sign of a wiring issue, such as a loose connection, not a blown speaker. A sign of a blown speaker is no bass or music that doesn't sound clear and when you take the speaker out the diaphram is torn from the mounting or from the cone. Because tweeters deal with the high range of the frequency band they rarely blow. Most often you will blow the bigger speakers that are mounted lower in your door. Double check the wiring to the speakers and I bet you will find your problem.
  9. That shows the level of frustration with FORD and the flawed 4.4 update. Maybe next time FORD should listen and respond faster. I know of two friends that purchased new vehicles for one of the other manufactures because of the issues with SYNC
  10. AIKirby is correct in that is a Google setting. You should be able to go to your settings on the Google browser and set where you want to sound to go. Make sure you are connected to the vehicle whe you do this. Once done save your settings and you should be good to go
  11. I thought so. My question is why are some fusion owners seeing the 4.6 and others not? From what I see KCarlos2013 managed to download and install the 4.6 update and he has the same year vehicle I do.
  12. Do you have the Touch version? If so 3.8 is the latest version. I dont know what the new update version will be. That said I too am still showing that my SYNC is up to date yet I am running 4.4. $.6 has been rolled out for the trucks and Focus that I know of. How much longer do Fusion Owners have to suffer with 4.4 or 3.8?
  13. How is it? Have you found any issues and are the issues reported in SYNC 4.4 corrected?
  14. Simple.....SYNC 4.4 always returns to the default settings when you power down. Its a known issue and hopefully it get fixed in the new update
  15. Or caught their mistake and they are scrambling to fix it. From what I hear SYNC 4.6 has been rolled out for the F150 and Focus. It looks like its a model specific package. Hopefully the Fusion version will roll out soon
