  1. "You're reading more into it than is there but again, that's the problem when communicating over the Internet." Agreed...my apologies. smac
  2. just a regular ole know it all huh.....real winner..."He's a one post member,though"..???? Wait a minute, WHO ARE YOU TALKING TOO??????
  3. "if" billybobs send you business because of bypassing evap's, why you crying about it? Wouldn't that be more 5 hour overpaying customers for you?? This is the reason why "Good" forums today are hard to come by. Now days people that may know a little want to start hating on others for what/ or how they do things. ADVICE for ALL... If its not affecting you directly, leave it alone.......
  4. Not sure why you wanted me to read that thread and put solution as the focal point as if I was trying to claim I fixed the issue by the book etc? I listed the way to fix the issue per the manual but "chose" not to go that route and have had ice cold air for over a year now without a single issue. I was only simply passing the info along that worked for me and my situation. I didn't state this is the only way. Summary: What I chose is what I chose. smac
  5. Have autozone or advance pull codes and see if the evap temp sensor code comes up. I have a 2007 and this is the most common issue on our fusions. It's a sensor that tells the compressor when to cycle on and off to prevent freezing up. Issue is, when this sensor pops, a signal is sent to your ecu telling it your compressor is froze up and to not turn on at all. If this is your issue, its not an expensive part but the dash has to come out to get to the part for replacing. I did not want to take my dash out nor pay for someone todo it for me. So, what I did is trick the circuit that goes to the ECU into thinking the compressor is ok. My air once again blows cold as should. Only down side is, the compressor will run every time my AC is on no matter what fan speed I use. So I can't run low fan spped for long periods (road trips etc) or I risk the chance of freezing my compressor up. I live in Orlando so running our AC on full blast isn't an issue at all. Turn your AC on then pop your hood and see if your AC compressor is engaging? If not, I would def have a look at the evap temp sensor. smac
