  1. Hey guys, I'd like to share my experience. I've performed the reset a few years ago. However yesterday my car started to acting up again when I was going someplace - battery fully charged, no hybrid mode, a bit of lag when stepping on the accelerator. I thought that it was going through reconditioning. On the way home after I got off the highway I could use the hybrid mode. Made it home with a HVB with about ⅓ left. However when backing into a garage (as you know backing up uses electric power) front wheels couldn't make it over a small step, I had to let the car roll forward and accelerate in order to be able to park. Anyway, I've requested another 60-day trial license from FORScan last night and this morning went to do another battery reset. For whatever reason it again was showing the message "Incorrect value or not configured". I've changed it again to Year 1, as per instructions. Battery level went to a bare minimum and the engine started to recharge HVB. Went on a test drive, as soon as HVB got charged to about 50-55% level, hybrid mode started to function again. I went through all of the pages of this thread last night and I've seen that a few people experienced no hybrid function within 48 hrs or so when reset was performed by someone else and not the current owner. I've replaced my 12V battery in January of 2020 and I've had no issues. Also FORScan didn't show any DTC today. Has anyone experienced anything similar to my situation after the first reset?
  2. You forgot HCU and ABS pump. Recall covers only up to 2010 MY. I had to pay $3,200 to fix that issue on my '11 Z Hybrid.
  3. Has anyone experienced a problem with no start after the clock reset? I needed a boost twice in the last week, but then car run normally after sitting overnight. Although I'm thinking that my 12 V battery needs to be replaced. I'm still on the original and it's over nine years old. Anyone knows where to get one in Canada, since my dealer doesn't have one in stock? Edit: I got lucky and picked one up from Erinwood Ford. They just received 5, minus one for me. The parts guy was super nice and gave me a battery at the cost. He's got a 2011 FWD Fusion Sport, after the PTU died.
  4. From what I remember you can't interrupt the reconditioning, you have to let it finish or it will start again after the restart. How's your car? Did go back to normal?
  5. If anyone is wondering about on what symptoms to look for, please see a quote from Savhp that I've attached here. And I want to add that after a prolonged drive on a highway battery would drop to where is should be, around 50%. Even on a fully warmed up engine it wouldn't run in the electric mode. The only way it will is when you put your car in reverse. It happened after I've got my car back from the passenger side airbag recall as well as a very expensive (over $3K) brake component replacement. My Lincoln is 2011, so for those of you who thought that Ford fixed the issue a year later, it isn't so. I consider myself lucky that I've come across this post a few month ago, before my hybrid system stopped working. This way I didn't have to take my car in to a dealer to be told that nothing is wrong. Thank you, Allen for your detailed write up!
  6. Jessica, while it's not an answer that you're looking for, I'd say use your factory seats as is, due to seat airbags. When (and if) time comes, you can buy another set of seats or upgrade to leather from an auto-recycler (junk yard).
