  1. Thanks JS bethlehem. I didn't see the thread. I'm new to this forum and I am still learning how to navigate lol. I swapped the blend door actuator, along with the evaporator temperature discharge sensor. I even changed another actuator on the drivers side of the car. I still have the same problem. I guess the A/C-Heater control panel is next. Unfortunately it's a $250 part online.
  2. Yes. 2011 SE. Manual climate control. I narrowed it down to the blend door actuator on the passenger side. I'm picking the part up today. I will post the results.
  3. My compressor is working fine. During the day when it is hot, I turn my A/C on and it blows cold for about two seconds, then blows hot air. Well after extensive research, I decided it was the Evaporator Temperature Discharge Sensor. I changed that part out and it still does the same thing. Today, I tried something. With the car running and the A/C on, I turned the temperature dial all the way to hot, then I slowly turned it to cold, one click at a time. My A/C started blowing cold air. Twenty-five minutes later while driving down the road, it starting blowing hot air again, so I did the same thing and my air was cold again. Any suggestions? I don't have the money to take it to a dealer. Has anyone had this same issue? Is it the A/C blend door actuator. Thanks for the help.
  4. I'm in the same boat man. My A/C was blowing hot air. I changed the evaporator temp sensor and it still does the same thing. My A/C works fine at night. When I turn the A/C on, the compressor kicks on and the car will blow cold air for maybe two seconds then it blows hot air again. I'm lost on this and we are in triple digits here in North Alabama.
  5. I know this is an old topic, but I changed mine sensor yesterday. It was time consuming for me, but I took my time being that it was my first and hopefully last time doing it. I didn't want to damage any trim or plastic removing anything. There is a good video on youtube that I followed and swapped the sensor without any problems. It was the 28 minute video or something like that. Good luck!

    odor in cab

I'm new to this forum. Yesterday 6/28/15, I changed my AC evaporator discharge sensor and inside cab filter behind the glove box on my 2011 fusion SE 2.5. I installed everything properly and my AC is working fine now, but I have a smell inside the cab with the vents going. I think it's exhaust fumes. My AC working every now and then was the only issue prior to replacing the AC parts. It also seems like my car is louder. It runs fine, no check engine lights or anything. Has anyone experienced this? Thanks for the advice.
