  1. Yup, might as well have put baking soda in one of the cells.... it's dead... replace... ?
  2. maybe not? 9)
  3. Ok, now that it's all straightened out.. ? to me it sounds like the card reader has gone bad... it's 6 years old, and the accident might have jared it loose... if it's not bad it's come loose out of the APIM (where it plugs in the dash) You would have to tear it apart at both end to see if it's loose.... IF you know someone else with a Fusion that takes the SD card, see if it works.... I got rid of mine, or I'd send it to you.... you should be able to a find used one on these sites (wrecks) car-part.com www.hollanderparts.com
  4. Hmm... because I see "As for year, I honestly have no idea" in one of his posts.... Uncalled for... maybe... it's just my opinion... as I look at it, I thought I put a ? there... consider it added.... ?
  5. Ya make me think that there was more damage than just the car if you do not know what year car you have.
  6. https://owner.ford.com/tools/account/how-tos/owner-manuals.html?year=2015&make=Ford&model=Fusion Hybrid%2FEnergi might help with finding things if you have the digital manual.
  7. Yea, it sounds like they are trying to pass something off that they did as your fault to get you to pay for it.... What do they mean 'fall off the track' , why can't they just put it back on the track?
  8. Also, it is assumed that you are updating your Sync 2 unit. As has been said, start the car, plan on it taking about an hour, and reinsert the USB stick, and go for a long drive. ?
  9. Well, it is a 10 year old HEV, so maybe it's time to replace it? I think I've read they last about 130k to 150k miles... or at least that is the warranty for most of the Hybrids...
  10. The 12V battery can be affected by siting, just like any non-hybrid (ICE), but that is used for lights (etc) not the drivetrain. Typical life of the 12V is 3 years, but they can fail at 2 or go as long as 4-5... having worked for Excide I delt with them a lot. The Hybrid battery can loose charge (as has been mentioned), and it will have to cycle 40-42 is good...
  11. Bluetooth was not a main stay for most cars till about 2013-2014 and maybe not even then. I rented a 2014 Chrysler 200 (in 2014) that did not have bluetooth, took it back for something that did. ? Maybe the 300 did.. unsure... So it stands to reason that a 2012 Fusion S wouldn't come with it, but more of a add on at the dealer (or ordered like that) You had to pay bigger bucks for the SEL to get it. (can't comment on the SE as I never looked at them) My comments are person observations, and do not reflect Fords policies.
  12. Glad it finally worked for you going from 3.3 to 3.4. So far it's been stable for me... but I started with 3.4, so this was just a slight update. ? Yes, the look is different... some things were taken out to allow for space. Like the boot screens for some. Not a big deal for me. This also allows for new backgrounds.... but it's ones they chose, so far you can't change them.... maybe down the road.
  13. Yea, it seems like they have a team of people that either don't really know what they are doing, or Ford/Lincoln does not care enough to get the web sites right.... Maybe both... I'm assuming that the update put a load on the servers they did not anticipate. Bad for them.
  14. I was going to test to see if it was back up, now it tells me Your SYNC system (SYNC3 v3.4.19274) is up to date. Hmmm I'm really at 20136
  15. ask on there... I never did it.. so I have no information beyond that it's there.
  16. Ah, it's talked about here http://www.2gfusions.net/showthread.php?tid=3704
  17. So it sounds like you are looking to replace the head unit? the Sync 3 unit? crutchfield would be best to look into that... Can't say much about the Sony sound... never had it with my Fusions, my MKZ-H has the Revel sound system and I love it. Is it that you don't think it's enough?
  18. Yup, it has been done.... but that it not to say that it is easy. I'm sure it will cost you a new seat, and the needed wiring to make it all work. I think itn the long run it would have been worth buying it with all the features you want. Unless you have the money and space and time to do what is needed. ?
  19. Tear it apart... see if the connectors are loose... if so, plug them in better. OR, maybe You can't fix it, you would take it to somewhere to get it fixed....
