can't be of much help, but here goes... there could be some programing needed to tell the old car of the new seats... Forscan etc... the cooled part is just fans under the seat, there is no AC , so the only thing I can imagine would be powering them. As far as fitting, I would leave it alone... no amount of cutting will be good for it....

My 2013 FFH had a rattle, that sounded like it was coming from the B-piller on the passenger side.... never did find it.... my 2018 FFH did not have the same rattle, and of course my 2020 MKZ doesn't either, so no telling where it might be or what it might be.... the 2013 only did it at higher speeds (freeway) I DID have a tiny rattle in the MKZ, but found it... when they did the post sales clean up, they missed a small piece of cardboard on the drivers side seat under the headrest... once I took it off, all was well. ? See if having a passenger can hear where it is and what it is....

bulbs burn out.... if it was a fuse or connectors the whole thing would not light up.

My guess is that it's just failed (the mirror), time to get it replaced/fixed... it's old!!

The Lincoln APP has a new feature that I was hoping they would do... it can now select all of the notifications and delete them all.... instead of one at a time... YAY I was getting tired of deleting the messages that my car started in the morning. ?

THere must be a short somewhere from the APIM to the Camera.... that would be hard to find... you would have to tear the car apart and look at all the wiring in between I'm sure the dealer would be able to look at it and fix it for a price... maybe even a good car stereo place... maybe even a electrical place.... but it's all going to cost...

$180 is a VERY good price, but buyer beware!!!! Usually the screen and APIM are about 4-500, the ACM (face) is over 100 (and is rare) , I can tell you that you will hate the face, they are not buttons like normal, they are 'touch' buttons... If they can, make sure the unit was not exposed to the water (maybe the heater exploded?) and power it on.... a LOT of red flags here... ?

In a search for that... it's an add-on module, beyond that not sure what they want... Might be better to ask the manufacture and explain what you have and expect from it.

WiFI sucks... DL it and unzip it to a USB... Otherwise , time for dealer....

Oh I understand your frustration... a lot of the manufacturers do that same thing.... they call the Fusion a Plug in electric now, not a Energy.... it's all marketing...

I know someone that had a 2013 FF, with a 2016 unit in that car, and is running 3.4 , so it can be done... he is finding something it can't do , but it has to do with hardware, not software. So , this mean that your 2017 should be able to go to 3.4, and with some minor Forscan programing, take advantage of most if not all the cars features... I'm also sorry to hear that someone you know was taken.... it's not an easy thing to take in.... I'm 64 almost 65, so I'm in the category... and I work at a hospital, so we're very protective....

I have a 2020, so from what I read, those will get 4.0 ... but if not, then I'll look into getting an APIM that will do 4.0

So this brings up a point I was tossing about... Does the car Wifi work when the car is off? I.e. when it's in my car port, having connected to the Wifi before, does it download the updates while it is parked and off? Or does it only get the downloads when the car is on running? ?

Yea.. I don't think I've seen anyone post in sometime that WiFi worked... and even when I saw that it did, it wasn't 100% USB is the best way so far... Here is hoping that Sync 4.0 will fix that. ? /rhetorical

I was told it's 3gigs or 3 months for the HotSpot... not sure about the 6 months.... even though the same modem is used for the remote stuff (power on , (un)lock ), I believe that is always avail. ?
