  1. So glad to have been able to lend a "hand"! It's amazing being able to use the info in forums like this and get stuff working properly / better. ?
  2. As a follow up for anyone that finds this in the future, this was the canister purge valve assembly causing the issue. After replacement, the noise went away and so did the MIL/CEL
  3. Replace your evaporative canister purge valve. It happened to me as well. It's nothing safety related so there would never be a recall https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/ford,2016,fusion,1.5l+l4+turbocharged,3330859,exhaust+&+emission,vapor+canister+purge+valve+/+solenoid,4936
  4. Why would you want the external temp to read 55 regardless of outside temperature? It sounds like your temperature sensor was damaged and/or the wiring harness. Since you replaced the sensor already, I would guess you have a shorted / open wire somewhere. -40 is a default reading
  5. That certainly is a strange sound. Do you have the blower motor / fans turned off? Does this noise happen if you only have the push button in the accessory mode (not pressing the brake pedal while pushing start button)?
  6. I'm confused about what you're looking for here. Do you need some assistance in figuring out the issue, or are you just venting your frustration?
  7. This is very interesting as I am having similar issues on my 2.0 4cylinder. Now to find the canister and valve locations
  8. Did you get a fix for this? edit: for those looking. This was fixed by replacing The evaporative piece valve assembly
  9. This just started happening today on my 2013 with 2.0 eco boost. When getting off of the freeway I heard a noise that sounded like a car accelerating very quickly. It makes kind of a buzzing noise that increases in frequency but only lasts for a few seconds. I still have not figured out what I can do to reproduce this. It doesn’t seem to be coming from under the hood, but maybe somewhere in the dash.
  10. This seems like a very strange problem. You've swapped all the right components, but still no resolution. Part of me wonders if this is something else, maybe radiator issue is somehow causing this?
  11. This sounds like a possible Idle Air Control issue. Did you figure out what it was? I realize that your post was in October.
  12. I am going to make sure I say knock on wood after this... I have a 2013 SE with 2.0L Ecoboost and I've experienced no issues with the engine. I have >120k miles now. Changing oil at 7500 is a good range to change it at, a little early, but better than doing it at the arbitrary 3000 that most people are stuck on. I just did spark plugs at 100k not long ago and it's just purring along. The only strange thing I've ever had was the stutter that happens after filling up the gas tank.
  13. Yeah thats pretty normal for older sync. I have another forum lost about how I got mine to remember that Input source. It was a mess. I upgraded to Sync1 software v4.6 and it broke Siri. Then downgraded to v4.4 from a Ford Edge and now I have Siri again and Sync remembers Bluetooth audio input. Waze should work just fine over Bluetooth as well but won’t display to the screen.
  14. Lol I can see why I was confused about the AA. Didn’t realize we were talking Android Auto now ? yeah seems like some odd interactions with software on these. Painful to go through when it doesn’t work, but so nice when it actually does work right
  15. Yes completely removing the pairing from both ends is recommended. Then re-pair them again and see.
  16. What is AA? Do you mean Apple CarPlay?
  17. The 12.1.4 update seems to have fixed the issue. It’s strange that it only broke the Bluetooth operation for Sync, but it’s working now, so that’s what I care about. I tried everything before as you can probably see in this thread. The 12.1.4 update is the only thing that did anything. A side note, I was able to connect my phone by pairing it with the car, but had to select the Find Device(s) option rather than Find Sync when pairing it. This method turned out to be useless though as well.
  18. Wow! Yeah I updated to 12.1.4 just now and magically my phone can see SYNC again when pairing. Strange! But at least it’s fixed. Thanks again
  19. So, I performed a factory reset, master reset, and unpaired from both ends. Even tried on my new phone and same issue.
  20. When I updated my phone to iOS 12.1.3 I now no longer have connection to my ford fusion Sync system through Bluetooth
  21. I have left mine in the car multiple times, but I don't have push to start. It could certainly be a security issue depending on the crime rate in your neighborhood.
