  1. Sorry, for this very late reply but other things came up and it turned cold, along with my computer crashing and making me lose my web links.. It happens mostly on the drivers side but I seem to remember it happening a few times on the passenger side. I would say it's 99% on the drivers side. I actually took it back to the dealer but the temperatures were starting to drop and of course it wouldn't repeat itself. The dealer kept it for two days and after test driving it and running diagnostics they couldn't find a thing. I was told that if there was a problem with it, I would get a notification on my dash. I guess I'll now wait until summer and take it in again since it's working perfectly now in cold weather.
  2. The blindspot sensor on my 2015 Fusion sensor starts acting up when the temperature gets above 80 degrees or so. When it heats up, the light will remain on, sometimes for an extended time and sometimes until I disable it. It seems to be mostly on the drivers side and more often when there is a line of cars passing on the left. I've taken it to the dealer and as I expected they can't duplicate the problem. They've test driven it twice and ran diagnostics without finding the problem. I get no faults showing on the dash although I don't know if there is a fault light for that. Does anyone have anything I can point the dealer at to isolate the problem? I'd like to get this fixed while still under warranty. This is the same dealer that kept my car for over 3 weeks while doing a nationwide search for replacement fuel injectors they said was causing my car to miss only to find out afterwards that it was some type of bad computer test module. Needless to say I'm not hopeful. Thanks
  3. This has seemed like a never ending repair. My car has been out of service for 3 weeks now, but hopefully the end is in sight. It seems like once someone from Ford contacts me, they then feel like they can forget the problem. After demanding some help from someone higher than the dealer, I received a call from the regional service manager. She promised me that she was going to look into the problem and call me back and also have the service manager at the dealer call me back. Those calls never happened and I started calling again, only to have my calls go to voicemail and no return call. I then emailed Mark Fields and did receive an email from his office (not sure if he even saw it himself), advising me that my problem was being escalated and I would get another call. I got that call from another lady that was apparently higher up than the regional service manager. On a whim I decided to call the out of state dealer that I purchased my car from. The parts manager there did a search for the injectors and apparently I wasn't getting the runaround on unavailable injectors. There was 1 injector at a dealer in NC, 2 at a dealer in Georgia, and 4 at a dealer in Cincinnati, OH. He also told me that those dealers probably didn't want to give up parts that are that hard to find. I got a call from the dealer that has my car today though and he had some news. He said that my problem was escalated up very high in the chain and it looked like the injectors were going to come from 3 different places and would all be overnighted in by Friday and that hopefully my car would be back to me on Friday. I still haven't figured out how all the injectors could go bad at once since as far as I know the car has never had cheap gas in it and it wasn't driven more than 5 miles when it started missing.
  4. Yep, I'll keep going up the line since the regional service manager was no help. What gets me is the fact that no one with the dealership will call me back and apparently are out when I visit. I didn't buy from this dealer for almost the same reason, no one would bother calling me back when I was trying to buy.
  5. I have a 2015 Fusion with the EcoBoost engine and about 18000 miles on the odometer. Last week it started sputtering and wanted to stall at every light. I was passing an Auto Zone and stopped in to have them put their reader on it and that said it was an O2 sensor. Since it was still under warranty and my wife was uneasy about driving it I had Ford tow it to the dealer. It took them 3 days before they even looked at it and the call yesterday was to tell me they needed to replace all the injectors and the plugs. The good news was that it's under warranty, the bad news was that they had no injectors in stock and they were on backorder. A call back later on from the service advisor told me that it would be at least the end of the month before they would possibly get the injectors. This isn't my selling dealer but it was the one Ford picked because it's the only nearby dealer. I then called Ford Customer Service to complain about the lack of parts. I received a call today from the Regional Service Manager and she advised me that someone would be calling me today from the dealer to maybe help me out with a rental car or some news on expediting the injectors. I'm not hopeful on either and I didn't get the call that I was supposed to received. That's the reason I didn't buy a car from this dealership to start with and maybe I'm paying for it now. Has anyone heard of a problem that would cause injectors to not be available? Is there some shortage I haven't heard of or is it a widespread problem with injectors. I'm having a problem with their story since I look online and find brand new Motorcraft injectors that are readily available and can be shipped overnight.
  6. I have been disappointed with the mileage I'm getting with my 2015 Fusion Titanium. The best I can get around town is 20.2 and that's driving like a little old man out for a Sunday drive. I previously owned a Nissan Altima with a 3.5 V6 and it would get 23 all day long in the city. Even on highways I get 27 at best while the Nissan would get around 30. I've now got 5000 miles on it and was hoping it would improve with time but it hasn't. I'm going to try premium with the next tank and see how much it improves. Around here, a lot of stations carrry ethanol free gas in premium and regular, but I'm hesitant to pay the ethanol free prices. I could drive down to the station near the local race track and buy some of gas from their racing fuel pump. That's probably 6 or 7 bucks a gallon and would probably blow the 2.0 engine up though.
  7. I purchased a new 2015 Fusion Titanium and from the beginning, the gas mileage hasn't been what I thought it should. I thought it may take a few miles, but after 5000 it hasn't improved. I don't have a heavy foot and I doubt the turbo ever gets to kick in in town. About the best I've ever gotten in town is 20mpg. My previous Nissan with a V6 would get 24 all day long in town and 30 highway. The Fusion 4 seems to fall well below that. Is 20 in town about the best I can expect? Thanks
