  1. Pretty sure it is a fuel tank vacuum problem - that's that woop-woop sound - But it happens only once in a while and then, after the car sits for a few minutes, it starts and runs fine.
  2. No, the purge valve was replaced by a local repair shop - Why does it only do it every 8 days or so? Otherwise is runs fine - - - -
  3. This is a 2014 Fusion Titanium with 80K miles. A couple of weeks ago, when driving down a residential street it would run rough and then stall. Let it sit for a couple of minutes and it runs fine. So far it's done it 3 times in the last month. When it starts to run rough, you hear the 'woop woop', which I've been told is some kind of vacuum on the gas tank. The purge valve and fuel pump have been replaced about 18 months ago - and it's currently showing a P1450 error code. Other than when it stalls, it runs fine - peppy, good mileage and all. Did the purge valve go bad again? Thanks
  4. Mine only has the hard starting after putting gas in it - runs great otherwise. And highway mileage is 32-36. And started when I got back from 4 months in France - car sat for a while but started right up.
  5. Well, the Fusion is also known as the Mondeo in Europe; Modeo came first. They're made in the Ford plant in Cologne Germany and are very popular. Most Mondeos are diesels and many, manual transmissions. As I recall, there is a wagon version of the Mondeo -
  6. Sometimes when driving the car (2014 titanium - 2.0 ecoboost turbo) it make s a sort of 'woop' 'woop' sound. It sounds like it's coming from under the car and it does it for a while and then stops and then does it again. Runs fine otherwise - doesn't always do it. Mileage seems to be good - 30+ on the highway. Car has about 65K on it - purchased as a Ford CPO. Car also stalls once after being fueled - and then runs fine; a fairly recent development. And I fill it about 3/4 full unless on a long trip. Ford dealer replaced the fuel pump about a year ago to remedy occasional stalling. Thanks for your insight --
  7. Mine is a 2014 2 liter turbo that has been running perfectly for 3+ years (bought used as a CPO) - now, sometimes when taking off it stumbles and stops - but only sometimes - and then starts right up. Runs fine otherwise. When it did the first time, check engine light came on - I went to O'Reilly's auto parts as they will use their scanner for free. Code was something like 'low fuel rail pressure'. Put in a can of Techron and filled it up - ran fine but still stumbles and conks out occasionally but no check engine light. Dealer thinks it's the fuel pump ($600) but those symptoms are not these (accelerates well, mileage is good and runs fine on the highway). So, what do you think??
  8. This is a 2014, bought as a Ford CPO - nice car. I've had it for 2 weeks. Twice now, the fuel gauge says I'm low on fuel but when I fill it up, it only takes about 13 gallons; should be 16.5. Yesterday it said I had 18 miles left, and again 13.2 gallons Nozzle on the pump shuts off - full. Any ideas?
