HOpe is not too late to answer the question about 09 vs 10 SYNC. No they are not exactly the same, most features are the same, but the 2010 Fusion adds Ford Services which gives you turn by turn directions, car diagnostics, etc.

Does anyone knows if the 2010 Ford Escapes may be experiencing similar issues with their transmissions?
