I had this same problem. I posted in another thread. I have 2011 Fusion with manual ac. I took it to the dealer and had it fixed. They replaced the blend door actuator and the main control module. Part nos. AE5Z-19E616A and 9E5Z-19980G. It works fine after the repair. Unfortunately I am not able to do my own repairs. Hope you are cool.

I got my car back from the dealership today, 8/3/15. They had the car for a week. It wasn't so inconvenient because I was provided a loaner car, since I bought my car there. In fact I bought 5 new Fords there so I must be considered a good customer. I was told that the technicians had to call on factory support to diagnose the cause of the system failure. Two parts were replaced, the blend door motor (AE5Z 19E616A) and the control module (9E5Z 19980G). Labor $285 and parts $273. I used the A/C all the way home from the dealership and it seemed to work fine. My car is garage kept and gets little use because of my medical disability (muscular dystrophy). I will update this post if the A/C system does not continue to work.

I have a 2011 Fusion with 8000 miles, manual heater and ac. When using the AC, the car starts blowing HOT air after a short period of time. The compressor shuts off and air from the vents is like a hair dryer. Adjusting the temperature knob makes no difference. When the car first started doing this, I could correct the condition by turning off the ignition and restarting the car. This solution no longer works. I have made an appointment at my Ford dealer to have this repaired. The fan speed switch works properly and I can select which vents the air should blow from (floor, dash, def, etc). I would appreciate any advice on how to properly describe my problem to the dealer. This post is being merged into an existing thread of the same subject.
