Hello all: I have a 2010 Fusion in which the LH exterior door handle bezel has been traumatically removed by a minor collision. The exterior panel is only slightly creased, but I am afraid that something serious happened to the door handle assembly when the bezel was torn off. I tried simply installing a new bezel, but the part does not seem to want to go on. I have seen several sets of instructions on how to remove and install the bezel on this forum. I have also successfully removed and installed the bezel on the RH door just to make sure that it wasn't me. I'm pretty sure that some important bit of plastic was broken on the inside of the mechanism. Other than the missing bezel, everything else works fine. Does anybody know what the inside of the handle assembly looks like, what the part number might be, and how hard it is to replace it? I know the that the interior door panel (under the trim panel) is a pain to get out. I'm in uncharted territory here. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
