So just finished replacing both lower control arms on my 2016 fusion hybrid. Now I have lost power steering! I have the steering fault light as well as hill assist light on. I have checked the fuse and the battery and they are fine. I did not disconnect the battery before doing this project and didn't think I needed to . I talked to a ford tech online for a $1. and he suggested that because I may have turned the wheels during the process that I may have damaged the unit? It was working fine before I started this project and can't figure out what I may have done? I checked the harness where it plugs into the unit and it appears to be fine. I hate to take it to ford mainly because they just changed the oil and told me that the tires where shot and failed to mention that both ball joints were shot! So I really don't trust them at this point. I am pretty mechanically sound person so want to attempt this myself first. Any thoughts guys? Really appreciate your help in this matter. Thanks,

Yes it creaks something fierce when lock to lock, tried spraying lubricant from top area and as far as I could from underside and still does it. So I can't drop the strut enough to get the bearing plate off without compressing the strut?

Think the bearing is bad on my 2016 fusion. Wondering how hard it is to replace, doesn't seem to bad. Figure I will need spring compressor but not sure. Any thoughts guys?

I have a 2016 Hybrid and recently when driving and after hitting a few bumps, I get an alert on my dash one says Service Advance Trac and another says Check Rear Park Aid. Also if I am stopped I get a Hill Assist is not operating? A few months back I had the rear Bumper Fascia replaced and I wonder if that has something to do with it? The car runs fine its just annoying. Any ideas? I am pretty mechanically inclined and not wanting to take it to the dealer as it is out of warranty. Thanks in advance.

Hey Folks I am new and wondering where the Hybrid owners are found. I am getting ready to "Pull The Trigger" Especially since Ford added another $500 today! Any suggestions, comments, what to look out for, anything at all? Really appreciate your help. Have a Blessed Day, Max

Hello I am new here and I am considering a 2016 Hybrid. My first question is this. Why does Ford only offer one wheel on the hybrid? Is it something with the regenerating brakes? I have been a mechanic my whole life but this would be my first hybrid. I really like the five spoke black wheel but only one wheel is offered? Any other tips for me would be greatly appreciated.
