Hopefully taking it in to the dealer next week, it's been a hectic work week so I haven't been able to yet And I'm actually back home in Texas for the summer (I go to school in Chicago) so I will be unable to make it to that Fusion meet, but it sounds like a great time!

Yeah I will probably do that and then go to the dealership depending on what they say.

I will look under the carpet when I get off work today, but he was selling the car because he was a resident of Singapore and was moving back over there. The Carfax is also clean as far as I can tell so I'm kind of stumped there. I was sceptical as well when we found it because of how low the mileage was, but he had a legitimate reason to sell it.

I'm not the original owner, but I bought it with 3,800 miles on it so it was pretty new still. I did a very thorough inspection when I bought it too and didn't see any of these problems. There was a small dent on the roof from the original owner just above the windshield, but it's very small and there were no marks anywhere else. It seemed like he took pretty good care of the car.

Here are some pictures of the paint cracks and the tail light. For whatever reason the spoiler one will not attach so I can't get that one. It is the side opposite of that taillight though which is what makes me think this isn't from someone hitting my car.

I've babied the car as much as possible, but unfortunately I'm in Chicago for school and have to park on the street at my apartment so there is constant exposure to the elements and also the risk of people hitting my while parallel parking. I know I've done nothing to it, but I'm worried about the elements and other drivers.

Hey all. So I have a 2014 Fusion SE with the 1.5L and a couple weeks ago I noticed some small cracks in my paint along the driver's side towards the rear end (basically on the outside of the trunk), and I've also noticed some of the sealing or caulking coming out from under my spoiler and one of my tail lights. My driver's side taillight can now be moved a bit by just touching it. I figured at first that it was just some sort of water seal, but I'm worried it's more structural now that it's coming from my spoiler as well. I spent the winter in Chicago so I'm also wondering if the cold could've done this. I have never backed into anything, and as far as I know nobody has hit me. Does anybody know first off if this paint cracking can be fixed through warranty or if I'm gonna have to cover it, and secondly what exactly the seal/caulking is that's loose on my taillight and spoiler? I've called my nearest dealership twice and got sent to voicemail both times. I can post pictures later as well if that helps anyone get what I'm saying.

No it is just fwd. I bought it in Texas and it's pretty tough to find awd fusions down there, especially for a decent price.

Hey everybody! I got my Fusion a few weeks ago, and just decided it's time to join a forum. I bought it with 4000 miles on it so I'm considering it my first "new car" even though it was technically used. I'm going from Houston, Texas to Chicago, Illinois for school and have never had a winter setup on a vehicle so I'll definitely be relying on some help!
