  1. Never mind. My bad for not searching around a bit. http://www.fordfusionclub.com/index.php?topic=129886.0
  2. Did you ever figure this one out ? This morning I lifted the whole knob assembly right off the shaft unitentionally. It was always loose feeling as in you could rotate it a few degrees back and forth, but this caught me by surprise. I agree, I don't see any missing fasteners. Has to be some kind of spring loaded clip or something. Will have to dig around tonight. Fortunately, I was able to drop it back on with a little wiggling around. Weird and Annoying.
  3. Duplicate from another thread. If you are looking for a decent all around all season tire, take a look at Fuzion HRi tires. Made by bridgestone I believer. I had them on my last car and as far as bang for the buck goes, they were awesome. For my fusion I have gone the winter tire on steel wheel and will be getting summer tires on nice alloys, however, in the future I would not hesitate to do the Fuzion's again.

  5. Glad it helped!! So far that's the only problem I had with my fusion.
  6. I have had this issue with every car I have owned. Electric windows are obviously worse because they only provide so much power and often won't be enough to break the ice. Nothing is as bad as the 83 Nissan Sentra I had. Manual windows and door locks. The locks would freeze up while driving and then I would have to use channel locks to hammer the lock up and down til I could get out. Made for some funny date stories when I would go to drop my girlfriend off and she wouldn't be able to get out.
  7. Well, at least Ford seems to be doing something right. I was never really a big Ford fan, but cars like the fusion kind of changed my mind. I don't really consider myself brand loyal at all anymore in fact. I would like to think that maybe Ford is surviving because they are building decent quality cars that people actually WANT to buy. Heck, if I wanted to buy a Toyota just because of their reputation for quality it would be tough. Can't say I want to drive anything they offer. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081202/ap_on_.../autos_congress http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/081202/wall_street.html
  8. Went to Wal Mart last night to buy some Mobil 1 and the shelves were almost empty of it. Anybody noticing same problem in their local WallyMarts ? They had a couple of jugs of the 10W30 Clean 5000 etc., but not much else. No 5W20 or 30 regular Synthetic at all !!
  9. I love that! Can you buy single bars, or do you have to take apart another stock grille, etc., ? Sweet!
  10. Yeah. Figured it would be the easiest place to start. Some cars will set the light if gas cap is loose. It is emissions related. I do not know that the fusion has the capability or how long it would take to set. I do think that it would take some time to set the light if loose. I'm just guessing, but it's possible it is based on pressure, positive or negative, changing in the tank over a period of time. If you know someone with a code reader, or stop at a parts store with one, it would be interesting to see the stored code that tripped the light.
  11. That's going to be tough for me to get used to. I really like the grille and headlights on the current car and have since the first time I saw it. This new styling makes me cringe for some reason. That grille.... Like anything though it may just take some getting used to. It will be interesting to see the entire car.
  12. Hope this information helps. Good luck. :beerchug: >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Indeed it does. I really appreciate the clarification and the detailed explanation. Good Stuff! Thanks for your help !!
  13. Hold on a second. At the end of the automobilemag article it talks about the L position being a performance shift mode kind of thing ? I apologize if I just didn't read the manual enough but is this true ? I thought L was just a low gear mode for slippery conditions etc.,. I'd be interested in hearing what others experiences are with this.
  14. On long trips I get about 27mpg if I keep the speed between 65 and 70. I average about 21 and change during my normal commuting which is mostly highway driving. Speeds vary but I stick with the fast moving traffic if there is any. I do drive pretty aggressively most of the time. My mpg numbers are from the display. I have not calculated a reality check on it.
