  1. I need to fly you down here. I would love to do the kind of detailing that you wrote in another post, but I am lacking that kind of time commitment to follow though on that kind of care.
  2. I feel your pain. If I leave the headlights on auto my fusion will sometimes turn them on at crazy times like 1pm in the afternoon in clear skys and broad daylight and dim all the displays. The only things I found to combat this is to just use the instrument brightness button and crank it to max, or to not have the headlights set to auto and manually turn the lights on/off. I took it to the dealer on the last trip I had under B2B warranty and they said they could never repeat the symptom.
  3. I think Sirius is just too compressed to sound good in my opinion. I got a free trial when I bought the car and man it did not take me very long to decide that the sound quality did not make it worth it. I think I could only stand about 3 days of my 3 month trial. Your mileage may vary.
  4. I have to agree with most others so far. The '13-16 grill/front is much better but I do like the back end. Merge the two looks (and add a bigger engine with turbo) I think they would fly off the dealer lots.
  5. hey there cabral5 A few things, first this is posted in the wrong section. Second this topic has been covered and includes possible solutions by a few people very recently; I would recommend doing a site search. Thirdly, ill get you half way there, from what I have read on here, the problem is in your fuel system since I don't remember what specifically you will have to search for that. Fourthly, welcome to the site.
  6. Ah yes, I remember when I was young..... it seems like such a long time ago I have to agree with this, I have the spoke wheels and am not fond of the look or the maintenance. I was looking at seeing if the focus ST wheels are a viable replacement. I think they are but I am kinda new to the wheel swapping world so someone with experience would have to confirm that. I am not in a hurry to swap them though as I can think of many other uses for the $ I would need to use..... damn me and my practical ways!
  7. 100% agree with this. I clayed my car previous to my fusion for the first time and it blew my mind how silky smooth it felt and how shiny it looked. The results after using clay for the first time sold me on using clay from then on out!

Wow ripped the lower bumper right off. If I had to take a guess it will end up being totaled. At a 40-50 MPH hit I am willing to bet that the crumple zones are not enough to absorb all of that energy and functional/structural components of your car are bent/mangled/displaced. Some of the ruling might come down to if they are forced to use OEM or third party parts. I think there is a law that states if a car is younger than X years (not sure what X is) then all original OEM replacement parts have to be used, other wise you are probably going to get 3rd party aftermarket parts.
  9. The B2B warranty extension was probably a good call in my opinion. With cars becoming so electrically complex these days troubleshooting a problem is becoming difficult to pin down. One of the issues I had with the proximity door locks had my car in the dealers shop for about 1.5 weeks and with most of the cars electrical components changed out and finally came down to a wire that broke. I would have NOT wanted to pay the labor and parts on that one, I can assure you of that! Glad to hear that you are loving the car. I think the Titanium trim level is really awesome in these Fusions.
  10. Ah I see you decided on the 2014. Very nice looking car you have there, Well done! Welcome to the site. -Bman
  11. If you are still under the B2B warranty then I would for sure follow Meagan's suggestion and get it dealt with at the dealership for free. If you are looking for someone to give you an idea of what is wrong because it was missed the first time, then my DIY hobbyist guess would be stuck/clogged idle adjustment valve or engine mounts.
  12. Well according to this site ill post below I think you're going to get the same car regardless if you got the 2013 or a 2014. Since the 2015 you have as an option is lacking some of the things you wanted I'll let you do your own research on changes from 2014 to 2015 if you are still going to consider it. My 2013 has been pretty solid in from what I have experienced. I have had some things done under the bumper to bumper warranty, but I don't consider them to be model year specific issues. That being said all of the cars you have posted wont have the B2B warranty due to mileage so make sure which ever one you pick is in good shape. Feel free to send me a PM if you want to discuss what I have had worked on for my car. For you I think I the 2014 would be a better fit, because I think that if you are concerned about first model year problems. I would say for peace of mind that getting a first model year is not for you. Ultimately though I am just someone on the internet giving their $0.02. I think deep down you probably know what you want to do but were looking for some validation. https://www.cars.com/articles/2013/09/2014-ford-fusion-whats-changed/ a small cut and paste from that page, Most significant changes: Ford adds a new turbocharged 1.5-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine that is available with stop-start technology. Inflatable rear seat belts are available on all models. Price change: The starting price for the base Fusion S is unchanged at $22,695 (including destination charge), the midlevel SE is up by $25 and the Titanium models are up by $300. On sale: Since August Which you should buy, 2013 or 2014? The 2013; changes on the 2014 models aren't significant enough to make them more desirable.
  13. In my 2013 titanium the when I do remote start it both turns on the seat warmers and also the defrosters. It is something you probably missed because you have to enable them in your remote start options. Also my titanium also has the stored seat positions, so the only thing I can say there is that you didn't get the trim level that would match the S60.
  14. Ah yes just like it was suspected all the original cars are not even in the picture at this point. Anyway on to the point. By what you wrote I think your choice is pretty clear, If you have fears about a first model year, then I would not recommend getting that one because anything that goes wrong with it will be viewed as a model year problem. I would also not get the 15 SE because it lacks the things that are important to you. As such by what you wrote it seems like the clear choice would be #2 the 2014
