  1. Thanks for the input, Bman! I had the same issue with the chrome peeling on my old Lincoln, and it got to the point where people could cut themselves. Definitely not the best way to start a date, lol. I may just sand or peel off the chrome and repaint them if it bothers me enough. Handles are pretty cheap but I hate messing with door panels... but i may have to anyway to fix that armrest. For the headlights, I figure I'll try the Bluemagic stuff that's hiding in my garage and post the results as soon as i can find it.

    Hello All!

Thanks Bman! I've always bought cheap cash cars in the past and did most repairs myself. That being said, the Fords I have tinkered with were all 70s and 80s vehicles, a far cry from today's cars and trucks. Not only is this my first Ford, but my first car with a warranty and a monthly payment, so hopefully I'll be spending my time driving it instead of fixing it, lol.
  3. My recently purchased 2010 Fusion is in great shape, but there are a few minor cosmetic issues I'd like to address. I'm new to the car, so any advice from experienced owners would be appreciated!! 1) The inside door handles are coated with a chrome coating, which has started to peel off. The end result is a door handle with a razor edge. Is there any way to fix this without buying replacements? 2) The headlamps are pretty yellow/milky, and it looks like someone may have tried restoring them due to the scratches on them. I have some BlueMagic headlamp lens restorer, anyone tried this product on their Fusion or can recommend a method/product? 3) My passenger door armrest has caved in, and there is a good 1/2" gap between the door panel and armrest. Was hoping this was a common issue with a common fix? I tried to pop it back, but it won't stay and I really don't wanna have to remove the door panel.

    Hello All!

I just bought a 2010 Fusion SE, and am joining the community to learn more about the car and to connect with other owners. I'm ashamed to admit I don't know much about the Fusion, I hadn't really been looking at them but it was a great value and I was convinced to buy one after a test drive. I'm coming from a 1985 Lincoln TownCar with no AC and a simple AM/FM stereo, so the Fusion with Sync is quite the upgrade!
