I have a 2011 Sport model. Currently has 68,000 miles. When it was in for it's 60,000 service, the transmission was overfilled by a quart and a half! A couple of thousand miles after that, shifting has not been as smooth as it was. It is very noticeable on the downshift, like popping the clutch on a manual. Took it back in, they found it was overfilled, drained and refilled with proper amount of fluid. Had Ford notate that THEY had overfilled incase there was any problems down the line. Well, 4 days ago, wife heard a grinding noise. I checked the car out when she got home. At first it sounded like a bearing on a pulley going out. After lifting the hood, I could tell the noise was coming from the "rear" of the motor and when I had her put it in gear, the tone of the noise changed. Because our local dealer was busy, it could not go in for 2 days, now the noise has stopped. It is currently still there and they are waiting to her from Ford Tech Line. They had drained some fluid and found some "particulates" in the fluid. Enough to be able to take pictures and send to for. Anyone else experience this or similar problem, Sorry for the length of the post!
