I was shocked as well,the guy said he doesn't see very many. Typically in colder climates, we are pretty mild here in the lower mainland, but the car came from terrace bc,it can get cold there.they said on start up in cold weather it can cause a tear.

It was crank seal,1.2 hours labour.they actually ran oil compatible with dye,and it showed up.

FYI, I chose not to use my after market warranty as theres a 150 deductible, the repair was only 176 plus tax

Ok,the oil change people at Ford said it was on the timing cover, and then i just noticed they put a comment -crank seal...makes no sense

I have 2007 fusion.the car only has 75,000 kilometers, just took it for second oil service since i purchase it in September and both time's the found some oil on timing cover plate.would it be worth fixing or just watch it,I'm surprised such low kilometers car has oil leak already. Thanks in advance

The key saga is over. Wholesale key 28 buck's Locksmith 70 to cut and program. The locksmith actually had to modify the remote a bit because the chip couldn't be read very easily. The wholesale key place was done what useless in there response to the issue's, but at least it's done.Thanks for your help, this cost 1/3rd of what ford would have charged so huge savings

I'm having hard time finding locksmith that will cut my key there afraid it will ruin there cutters

Really? Even with the kilometers to empty 18 kilometers. ..that's a pretty good safety net but that would suggest kilometers to Empty is out or set up that way on purpose

I filled up the fusion today with only 18 kilometers before empty, according to the trip meter. I filled the 2007 v6 fusion with 50 liters, however every where I have read on line says it's 17.5 gallons which is aprox 60 plus liters! Tell me I didn't spill 10 liter of fuel!

I bought a replacement key/fob looks like my original aside from the ford emblem. I have read that you need to original in order to program ot. I haven't cut the key yet but I thought I would try the programming instructions. The remote portion works unlock trunk door's ect. I will get it cut and see if it will start the car

I drove home after work, and it was fine I will definitely get brakes done soon anyways, front rotors are warped I can feel it wheb I'm slow in down . I just had oil change at ford and they mentioned brake pads were getting low all around. Probably 500 in parts. ....

Thanks akirby. I just read a few post's not from this site just a general Google search. people really were complaining about the brake system ect hopefully doesn't become the same money people said .I should probably have it changed?

2007 ford fusion. Just picked up the car about 1000 kilometers ago, on the way into work I could hear some bit of noise sounded kinda like oit of balance wheel. When I stopped I could smell the heat the rear rim was throwing off.i put my hand to rim and it was smoking hot the other 3 were fine . driver side rear, has anyone experience this or any ideas what it may be?
