  1. Another follow up; I ended up keeping the car. I got the dealer down to ~$1400 to fix it. I already had so much invested and its almost paid off so I didn't see any point in going thru getting a new car (even though they tried to get me in one!). The service department said to contact ford and put a complaint in with them and the NHTSA so I would at least be on record if they expand the recall.
  2. HI everyone, just thought that I would revisit my original post. I brought my car in for diagnosis but they couldnt find anything because it eventually corrected itself and nothing was coming up. The car worked for about a month with no power steering loss before it happened again and this time it wouldn't correct itself. So i brought it in and it was diagnosed as the rack and pinion were corroded away and the steering rack needed to be replaced. ~$1,900 to be fixed. Too bad to because I love the car. I talked with the Owner and they are going to see what they can do as far as maybe fixing it or trading it in for something else. Hoping I can keep it but we shall see. Thanks for your input everyone!
  3. Forgive me as I am sure this has been asked somewhere before. Earlier today my Ford Fusion lost all power steering capabilities as well as lane departure. After looking online I see there is a recall for this (#15v250000) however my VIN is not listed in said recall. I live in western new york and drive on salt/snow covered roads constantly (I see this is the reason for the recall, the salt corrodes away the pins that hold the assembly together). I called the dealership I bought the vehicle from and spoke with a secretary who told me the same. Is this something I am going to have to pay out of pocket to fix? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. My next step is to contact Ford directly (good luck with that lol). Thanks in advance.
  4. Thanks Shaay - yes I do have MyFord Touch...I am going to the dealer where I bought it for an oil change early next week; hoping that they don't gouge me over it. Is there anything I can do to fix it?
  5. That's great, thank you for this information. What do you recommend that I do? Just go to the dealer where I bought it?
  6. perfect, i am going soon to get some recall stuff taken care of; did they charge you?
  7. Hello all, I have a '13 Ford Fusion Titanium and just recently my navigation seems to be off. When I input an address for directions it picks up that I am located on 3-5 streets over; it doesn't happen all the time but it sure is a pain when it does. When I first start up the car I am on the correct road but once I put in an address and go for a few miles it will put me in a different area which then gives me totally different directions. Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas? Thanks in advance! Kyle
  8. Just to follow up on this; i found out the reason they didn't fit. The person who sold them to me had the bolt pattern incorrect. The pattern is 5 on 4 1/2". I ended up going to ebay and buying a set (verified Fusion Titanium rims!!) for $200 then either swap these tires over or get new ones (depends if i can sell them as a set or not). Thanks everyone for your replies!
  9. Yes, bought steel rims. I probably should have tried them out before I bought them but got them at a good price mounted with sensors and everything. Tires are just so expensive for the 19" rims, I wanted to get a 16" for the winter months. Thanks for your help everyone. I guess I'll just re-list them and/or take them to my local mechanic to see what he thinks.
  10. So I bought some rims off of Craigslist that were listed as 5x108 coming off a Focus. I went to have them put on my '13 Fusion Titanium at Mavis Tire. Much to my dismay they were off just slightly that they wouldn't go on the lugs. Any idea why this would be? I guess I'm just going to sell them and try again? I've got the 19's on there now and these are 16", for the winter. Open to suggestions! Thanks in advance.
  11. Hello, I am looking at some options for winter tires on my '13 Ford Fusion Titanium. I have the 19" rims on currently so I was looking at going with a set of 16" (since these are the smallest i can go). I found a pretty good deal on a set of Hankook Winter Pike on 16" rims with the 5x108 bolt pattern. However they are 225/60/16 and it says that the recommended are 205/65/16. I went on the tire size calculator but to be honest, I don't know what any of it means. Can someone let me know if there would be a problem with these? They are coming off of a Ford Freestar Van and have the sensors in them already. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance.
  12. Think these would work / are a good deal? I know the tire size is fine, was just wondering about the rims themselves. Thanks in advance for any input! Four (4) Cooper WinterMaster S/T2 winter tires and rims. 205/65 R16 only one season of use -- nearly new tread depth. 16"x 6.5" steel rims 5 x 4.25"/4.5" bolt pattern, 5.375" backspacing (41 mm offset), 72 mm center bore. $500 for the set or best offer.
  13. Nevermind, I just realized that these are 15" rims and I don't think they will fit the Titanium model ...
  14. Hi everyone, I am looking at FINALLY putting some winter wheels on my 2013 Ford Fusion Titanium. I currently have the 19" rims on. I am looking on craigslist and found the following and was wondering if they would work? Wheel size is 15" X 7". Dual bolt pattern 5 X 108 mm (5 X 4.25"), or 5 X 114.3 (5 X 4.5"). Offset is 35 mm, which is 5.25" backspacing. They come with winter tires as well, which are Hankook Winter Pike. 215/60R-15. All 4 for $100, which seems like a steal. The guy listed them as dinged up with some scratches but what do I care for winter. Let me know what you think! Thanks!
  15. Thank you for your help. The person I was going to buy them from actually ended up selling them before I could get to them--so I am still looking. Now the rims on my car are the 19" rims, what would be the smallest rim size I could go? I would assume no smaller than 16" but wasn't sure. Thanks again!
