  1. Thanks for the suggestion on the Explorer issue. Turned out to be a piece of metal was found to be stuck to one of the wheel bearings that are now magnetic. That caused issues with the ABS sensor, and triggered all the other alarms and system failures. They did not have info as to why my wife's fusion did not get a recall, so I need to take it in for them to take a look at it for the Transmission warning. Odd thing, now it has not happened in a week. Told her to keep using the parking brake and let me know when it starts happening again so I can take it in while happening.
  2. Thanks for the link. Our VIn did not show it was included in this recall, but the car is a 2013 Fusion. I just had my 2016 Explorer Sport experience major issues on way home from work, lost ABS, traction control, hillstart assist, parking aids, everything went out. So that vehicle is heading to the dealer and I will ask them about this Fusion issue while I am there.
  3. Has anyone else experienced an issue with a "transmission not in park" warning being displayed? My wife's 2013 fusion has around 43,000 miles and she said that today while running errands, 4 different times when parking the car and turning it off, an error was displayed I think in the left display stating that her transmission was not in park. She said the car seemed to drive fine and always started back up, but she repeatedly saw that warning.
  4. Does anyone know if the purge valve and cannister in addition to the fuel rail sensors mentioned above would also be covered under the powertrain warranty? Our 2013 Fusion Titanium has started the same thing. Wife actually stalled at light just outside gas station tonight and was almost rear ended. Took multiple attempts, but she finally got it started. After reading this thread, asked her about other fill-ups and she said she was noticing the shudder and rough idle after filling it up intermittently for many months. She does not top off the tank after the gas nozzle stops the first time. This was first time the car stalled completely. Car has less than 40,000 miles.
  5. I had the same stalling issue with my 2013 Fusion Titanium... it also after several dealer visits turned out to be the Fuel Pressure Sensor... so anyone else having similar issues should point out to your dealer this is a repeat issue on these cars and to look at that part if you are having similar stalling and "limp mode" issues with your Fusion. They replaced that part and it has been several weeks now without any new stalling issues.
  6. I had similiar stalling issues with my 2013 Fusion Titanium. Multiple stalling and power loss (limp mode). After multiple trips to the dealer, the issue was finally found to be the Fuel Pressor Sensor. If that has not been looked at, ask you dealer to check or change it.
  7. HI LeeAnn, Our dealer after multiple attempts finally found the issue to be the Fuel Pressure SEnsor. They changed that part and it has been weeks with no stalling or power loss. Hopefully they can look at it and maybe that is the same cause of your issue. Keith.
  8. Hi Meagan, The dealer did not look at it all weekend, but then called today to say that they were able to use a different tool (must have been different than the first 3 times they tried) and now have been able to read an error code (they did not tell me what it was). They said it identified the issue to be the Fuel Pressure Sensor. They replaced it and I picked the car up this evening. Time will tell if that was the cause. I will repost again to provide an update in a week or so, unless the issue comes back sooner, and then I will post again right away. Thanks, Keith.
  9. Has anyone else had stalling and loss of driving power in their Fusion? We have a 2013 Fusion Titanium with around 24K miles and it has stalled or loss power (limp mode?) 4 times in last 3 weeks. It is at the dealer for the second time this week and they still have it and are saying they are finding nothing wrong. Only code they see is a "historical code". It was at the dealer on Monday and they found nothing wrong and said they found no similar issues when researching. We brought it home, 2 days later, my wife after driving it all day, was home 20 mins, and left again and only got about 1/2 mile from home and she said it just stopped accelerating even though she continued to give it gas. It ran enough to get to the side of the road. She turned it off and it was hard to restart, but did and was fine again after that. I took it back to dealer the next day (Thursday - yesterday), and again, they are saying they find nothing wrong with it, but agree it is not safe to drive it, so it is still there. I saw a post in the 2013 Fusion forum that appears identical, but they did not post to say what was ever found to be the issue. Very frustrating. Was wondering if anyone else has heard of this and what the issue was found to be as my dealer is struggling to find the cause. Thanks.
  10. Can you update on what was found to be the issue? I am having the exact same issue with my 2013 Fusion Titanium. Stalled or lost power 4 times in 3 weeks. Took to dealer and they found nothing. Said track the issue, bring it back when happens again. 2 days later, my wife drove it all day, it was okay. Went and picked my son up from school, came home and 20 mins later went back out to take him to doctor. They only made it halfway down the street and it stopped. My wife said she was pressing on the gas and nothing (Limp mode?). She was able to pull over and turned it off and then it was hard to start. Finally started and was fine. Took it to dealer next day, they had it all day today, I called, they said only a historical code and nothing else, they have no idea. They still have the car as they agreed it is dangerous too drive, but was not sure they would have time to look at it tomorrow (sat) as they usually just change oil, even though the main tech they want to look at it will be working. On Monday when I picked it up, they said they searched for similar issues reported and found none. But on the internet I found all kinds os similar complaints, most turning out to be the throttle body. Wondering what your issue was found to be, so I can share that with my dealer who is struggling to fix it. Very frustrating. Car has only around 24K miles,
