  1. Since my Autel scanner would only show the live data from the BECM and not adjust any of the parameters I decided to take my 95k miles 2010 into the dealer today. Gave them a copy of the linq to this thread as they had never done this before. Would have done it myself if they had a program for android. Worked like a charm for the cost of $120. My fuel average had gone from 36 to 28, EV mode only when stopped with foot on the brake. The worst thing about this was the huge throttle lag my car had. Sometimes I'd push the pedal and it would take a second or 2 for the car to respond and sometimes the response was very slugish. Doesn't sound like a big deal but the road I live on intersects with a highway so I have to pull out in front of cars going 55-65 mph and the second or 2 lag at the wrong time could cause someone to get seriously injured or killed. This is one of the stupidest things a dealer could do. If they are going to program stuff like this it should have to be disclosed when the car is purchased. If they told their customers in 9 years your hybrid is going to become gas only car no one would buy one. Gonna save my receipt and hopefully if Ford ever makes this right I'll be able to get my money back.
  2. Picked up the car last night and it is awesome. The CVT trans should be in all cars, no shifting up and down just smooth power. The thing is like a rocket from a stop, something you would have to experience for yourself to believe how quick it really is. I've built a lot of 60's muscle cars and this thing would embarrass them off the line. The starting is going to take a little while getting used to, When you turn the key and nothing happens it just seems odd. My wife loves loves the leaves. I had never driven a fusion so after I decided to buy this one I went down to the dealer and drove a 12 se and would suggest if you are going to buy one don't drive the hybrid first, it will only make you wish what you could of had. Even though the se only had half the miles it just didn't drive them same as the hybrid. I'm sure the trans and the extra weight from the battery and electric motor help to make the ride just that much nicer. Seems to have less road noise, not that I can hear it above the sweet stereo, and the seats seem to be better. Gonna have to spend some serious time with the manual trying to figure out just what all this car can do. Can't wait till a few years from now when the price of the next generation Fusion hybrids comes down in price!!! Why aren't all cars using this technology?
  3. FordIvteam I think it's awesome that you guys are on this forum and when necessary you give factory advice right here. Saw on another post where you were moving a repair up to the regional manager to help a member with a problem, what service!!!
  4. I guess it depends on who drives the car and where it is driven would make me decide on just cleaning the t/b or replacing it. For around $100 and less than a half an hour of time if it were my wife driving the car I would just change it since this car is known for this problem. Good to know if stuck in the middle of nowhere cleaning it might get you home!
  5. Getting ready to buy this car and was wondering if some people who have or had one would chime in and let me know what they think about it. I'm paying $10,500 it has every option, 67k, nice after market wheels with brand new tires. Garage kept, spotless clean in and out, one owner and always maintained at the Ford dealer. Really know nothing about this car but what I've read online. Have always owned Accords, me and the wife both currently have one, but saw this one when looking for another Accord and really loved the way it looked. One big question I have is how do you like the CVT transmission. My daughter has a 15 Accord and she says she loves it in the Honda so I hope everyone loves it in the Fusion. So let me hear what you guys think!!!
