  1. This got me once - my knee had hit the headlight switch when getting out of the vehicle, turning the switch from Auto to On. I didn't figure it out until the next time I got into of the car and I happened to notice the headlight switch knob position.
  2. That is BS: by law the manufacturer cannot void the warranty for taking your vehicle elsewhere for routine maintenance. http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0138-auto-warranties-routine-maintenance
  3. I could see where you thought that - the only time I've seen the grille shutters mentioned by Ford in their marketing literature is in conjunction with the hybrids. If you put your VIN into ETIS (http://www.etis.ford.com/), the shutters will show up on your build sheet as Kysor Active Grille Shutters.
  4. Welcome from another previous Focus owner who traded in his 2013 Focus hatch with a DCT for a 2016 Fusion SE 2.5L. My base SE has only one option - rear park assist - but I use it every day (I have to parallel park at work).
  5. A similar thing happened to my ex-wife's 2002 Focus: she ran over something that caused a hole like that in the rim but didn't visually damage the tire.
  6. Sorry, I do not know where the SYNC unit is located.
  7. If you are getting an error code that says the head unit is not connecting to the satellite unit, I would first check the connections between the head unit and the satellite unit to see if the wiring harness came loose or a wire was cut by chafing.
  8. Because the initial cost of a hybrid is higher than the same vehicle without a hybrid drive system, it can take as long as 12 years of driving the hybrid to see any monetary savings from using less gas.
  9. I read an article that said that Ford dropped the Friends and Neighbor pricing because a lot of people thought they could get a better deal by haggling and using rebates. I got both the Friends and Family pricing AND around $2750 in rebates on my 2016 SE 2.5 in early November, which resulted in a savings of nearly $4500 off MSRP. And that was on a base SE with only rear park assist as an option, so there wasn't a lot of markup. It might be difficult to negotiate that kind of deal now.
  10. At www.tirerack.com you can compare all the tires that fit your car in one place. I've used Tire Rack several times when looking for replacement tires, and the information I found there has saved me from making a bad purchasing decision on more than one occasion.
  11. Welcome! I'm relatively new to the Fusion world myself, having just bought my SE on November 6th.
  12. Is your car still under warranty? If so, Ford should replace the carpet if it is indeed cut wrong.
  13. I believe the Fusion has a battery power saver system that prevents things from coming on when the battery is low.
  14. I doubt they changed the internals much - It could be as simple as exchanging the circuit card on yours with the one in the older style fob. If they can be exchanged, there would be no need for programming.
