  1. Hello all, My 2010 Fusion with the 2.5l manual is making a grinding sound under hard acceleration. I have replaced the clutch (due to slipping) and passenger side outer cv, however neither has addressed the issue. Also replaced during the clutch job was the bearings and assembly hubs. I am trying to better track down the remaining possibilities and I only see two. The motor mounts or the inner cv joint. Reddit suggested the motor mount however I am not experiencing any other motor mount symptoms one would expect to experience. Does anyone know if this car has a proclivity towards either failing?
  2. I will do so this weekend. It is completely dead, no lighting at all right now. Will check the trunk wire.
  3. I unfortunately have had my center brake light fail on my 2010 Fusion SE (one of the few with a manual transmission). The only replacements I am seeing are not bulbs but entire units, are there any bulb replacements available? What is the process of removing the unit? No screws are visible, is it a pry off? 90$ for an aftermarket brake light is bordering on absurdity, even more for OEM. http://www.partsgeek.com/gbproducts/MC/30425-07204251.html?utm_content=MC&utm_term=2010-2012+Ford+Fusion+Third+Brake+Light+Dorman+923-280+10-12+Ford+Third+Brake+Light+2011&fp=pp&gbm=a&utm_source=google&utm_medium=ff&utm_campaign=PartsGeek+Google+Base&gclid=CjwKEAjw07nJBRDG_tvshefHhWQSJABRcE-ZX75VPr3h31KHTzWfBj73ClrPaRtbKFQ6BStf-VK0xxoCMF3w_wcB&ad=47362750812
  4. Found a good youtube video showing the repair. Looks like an easy one.
  5. Hello All, Recently had my thermostat read out shut down on me when driving home from a work trip. Immediately pulled over to ensure I was not overheating and when turning the car back on the read out turns back on. The car is not overheating currently as on occasion the thermostat will turn back on when operating and will be at a normal operating temp. I have also shut down the car at lights and when restarting the temp gauge will turn on and reflect proper operating temps for at least a couple of seconds. Pulled the code and confirmed it was P1289 a head temp circuit. Have not recently done any work on the car so it is unlikely it was unlodged by my maintanance. When the temp readout ceases functioning the AC also stops blowing cold. Any thoughts to addressing this? Their do not appear to be any functional issues with the car (beyond the sensor) at this time. Looks like the temp sensor is pretty cheap. Doing some googling to find the location and replacement process. 2.5L Manual Tranmsission 2010. Thank you for reading.
