  1. I have been having the same issue with my 12 Sport. Excessive condensation on the front window, and a foul smell sometimes. It goes in in 10 days, will let you know what they found.
  2. MY 12 Sport has done this at least 4 times so far, dealer looked at it twice and could not reproduce the issue.
  3. The 2008 SEL AWD I had was pretty solid with the Trans, no major issues, then somebody hit me and it was replaced with the 2010 SEL AWD. THAT WAS A NIGHTMARE!!!! My 2010 SEL AWD was bought back by Ford, and I went and got a 2012 Sport AWD. It had mulpiple issues, and ended up replacing the Trans, and the Computers. Did not really help. My 2012 Sport AWD with the TF-80 Trans is SOLID!!! IT is a 50/50 thing with it. Some are fine, some are not.
  4. And it still has the curb rash from when the lot tech smacked the curb while pulling it around, right in front of me!!! But Buyer Beware...... That car is cursed!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!
  5. But that was a Buyback after they replaced the Trans. Good luck with that car!!!! LOL!!!

    GoodBye!!!

I got my SEL bought back because of the transmission, and had credits. I was going to get another one anyway, but I got the buy back and now love my Sport. It just works!!! It all depends who and how you talk.
  7. Wow, how the hell did it end up in NY at an auction? http://www.web2carz.com/71835043/2010/ford/fusion/used-cars/for-sale

    GoodBye!!!

That is EXACTLY what I was thinking. Again, good luck and hope all the best with the VW. And for the record, it all depends on how high you go. I had mine BOUGHT BACK after numerous Trans Repairs, and then the New Trans was put it with older TCM, and it got all messed up too. End Result? I had another Fusion that I ordered anyway, wanted a Sport and hated the EPS and 6F35 for damn good reason and I got a hold of the area manager, told my line to them, and they not only bought my car back, but they gave me HUGE CREDITS on the new one and better terms for financing. It all depends how you roll.
  9. Mine is new, and it worked that well, on an older car, it would work even better. Here is what it does, it bonds to the metal and sticks to that, improving the heat transfer and keeping things clean and moving. For a home system with R22, or R410a, I have noticed about a 4-16% improvement depending on how the system is operating. Some compressor manafactures such as four seasons are actually installing this in their compressors that you can buy retail. The home systems have a lot more plumbling, and are more involved then a MVAC, but the principal is the same. I just dialed in the bottle 1.5-2 ounces with my oil charger, and kept a eye on the vent temps and the gauges. The low side did drop by 1-2 psi, but that is not the one that you worry about, HEAD PRESSURE (High) is what makes a system work harder on super hot days, and if you can lower that, then you are good to go. I would not worry about the cycle issue, when the climate is cooler, it will cycle anyway, but when it is 95 and hunid out, that compressor will stay on most of the time, and since thise cars cut out at 36 degrees, if I can keep it 1 or 2 defgrre above it, I am very happy!!! Even on a new car such as mine, by doing this, the system will stay "Clean" and will keep giving that new car A/C performance.

    A/C BOOST!!!!

Figured that I would drop a line on this one. The Fusion Platform cars have a pretty good A/C system from the factory, the SP17 Compressor and TXV work well. But did you ever with it could get a little better? NOW IT CAN!!! I have been doing part time Home and Auto A/C stuff for the past 13 years and came across a lot of stuff. One thing that caught my eye was a product for home A/C's called Zerol Ice, now called A/C renew. It claimed it provided better heat transfer, reduced operating costs, reduced friction and protected the system better. It is made be new calgon. I tried it, and LOW AND BEHOLD IT WORKS!!! My Home vent temps are down by about 3.7 degrees and the amp draw is lower, as well as the head pressure, so yea, I am happy. In talking with the rep, he told me of the ICE 32 product they have for the automotive market, and gave me a 2 ounce sample bottle and said give it a shot. So I took the manifold gauges out and put them on the Fusion and Stabilized the readings after 15 minutes, I then used my injector and added the ICE 32 product as shown with my injector. Waited 10 more minutes and took some readings....... BEFORE ICE 32........ Outside Temp 91 Vent temp 44 Degrees Head Pressure 245-260 AFTER ICE 32....... Outside Temp 92 Vent Temp 38-39 Head Pressure 225-230 THAT IS ONE HECK OF A DIFFERENCE!!!!! I know that is it also sold in a 3 ounce aerosol can, as well as the bottle if you have an oil injector. Some Places offer it such as Firestone and STS for service, I even know one GM dealer in my area offering it. Making a long story short....... IT WORKS!!!!! Keep in mind, these cars (Except 2006 models) have EVAP temp sensors that will cut out at 36 and cut back in at 37, so I will gladly take it!!! Worth the $$$$ in my mind.
  11. Hold on a second, you said that is a 2010 model with the 3.0 correct? What was your build date? Do you have EATC? There are 2 TSB's about this.
  12. Sounds like the EVAP temp sensor issue.
  13. The BLIS is OK, but I would rather have the mirrors to be honest with you.
  14. Wow, they do not offer a FWD Sport in Canada? Did not know that. But on the bright side, If there is any place that you will need the AWD, it would be Canada. Yea, I Don't like the intergrated screen with all the systems, it is hard to keep clean (Fingerprints) and if it goes down, you loose everything. But the biggest issue is the fact that you pay $200 a year to update it, and the Sirius travel link is not free after 6 months, so forget that!!!! I like my TOM TOM, lifetime traffic and map updates.
  15. Actually, I do like the mirrors over the BLIS system. It sucks that you can't have both. The only reason that I got the 402a was I wanted EATC and heated seats that my SEL had, and the only way to get it was with that package. If it were not for a coupon from an Area Rep, It would have made it very tough for me to get. I just had mine in the shop, and had a 11 mercury milan premier as a loaner, and it had the mirrors, really nice!!!!
