  1. Sounds like you have enabled either Dark Mode or Silent Mode. These are usually active for police vehicles. Dark Mode: Puddle lights won't come on ever. Silent Mode: Disables DRL Disables All Courtesy Lighting (Outside and Inside Vehicle) Disables Welcome / Farewell Strategy of All Displays
  2. The only thing I really don't like is the blinker volume - way too loud. Otherwise I loved my '16 SE and love my '17 Titanium even more.
  3. Thanks! I found great posts about this there and at 2gFusions.net. Very easy to follow and if you have some common sense, easy to learn and implement. My climate controls are back and I have "fixed" a few other things: No sky blue screens on the instrument cluster LCDs when the car starts No double honk when I walk away with the engine on and fob in my pocket Fogs and Hibeams can be on at the same time. Car charging ports always hot.
  4. I had a 2016 SE with the Sync and Tech package. One thing I loved was controlling the climate through the steering wheel and right-hand LCD. I now have a 2017 Titanium and the climate section is no longer accessible in the right-hand LCD. Does anyone know why this has been removed, and if it can be added back?
  5. Hi, I did a similar mod on my 2016 SE, hoping to get the results you're expecting - I installed the factory harness and factory switch. What I found was that the car isn't factory wired for fogs, so there isn't a wire connecting the switch harness to the light harness. I wound up having to wire the lights with the wiring harness that can with the aftermarket fog light kit. I don't know if the 2013 is wired differently, but you can tell by looking at the switch harness. See if there is a gray/violet or gray/brown wire coming out of pin 14. If so, you should be good to go, if not, you're out of luck.
  6. If you look at the wiring harness plugged into the driver's side headlight, the parking lamp wire is typically the green wire with the orange stripe. If you tap the trigger/control wire into this, then turning on the parking lights will trigger the fogs. If you want to tap into the low beam, then tap into the brown wire with the blue stripe. By tapping into the low beams, the fogs will turn on whenever the low beams are on.
  7. So, long story short, there was a seal that was installed in the wrong place - caused some teeth to break and lost 1st gear. Transmission is super smooth now, but I was in the car, parked with the engine running, when the gear was lost - I heard it and felt a jump - it was crazy. I'll definitely be keeping my eye on this.
  8. Well, turns out I completely lost 1st gear. Car should be ready today or Monday and can post more details when I get them.
  9. So, I took it in Wednesday morning. It threw back a rather significant transmission fault (I'll get the code when I pick it up). Was told the techs were dumbfounded and surprised to see something like this with so few miles. They need to rack it, remove the transmission and drill down until they can find the problem. Will hopefully know more by Monday. What's Ford's reliability these days? Am I better off with a new transmission? If they isolate the problem and fix it, what is the likelihood it returns? I know we don't know exactly what it is yet, just curious of people's recent experiences.
  10. Hi, I have a 2016 Fusion SE 1.5L Ecoboost. It has 7,000 miles and developed a problem last night. As I was parked and idling, I heard a noise in the engine compartment and the check engine light came on, along with the little wrench. When I shifted into reverse, it felt like the car slammed into gear. Same with drive. It slams hard whenever I shift into or out of park. On top of that, it feels like when I go into Drive, I'm starting in 2nd gear - very little pickup. Also, SelectShift doesn't seem to be working. I'm going to take it into the dealer as soon as I can, but any thoughts in the meantime? Thanks!
  11. Ok, So after installing LED Fog lights and DRLs, I was a bit underwhelmed by the color of my low beams. I wanted an overall match, so I began to read - a lot. I learned quickly that putting HID bulbs in the existing housing was a bad idea for many reasons - electrical issues, light scatter issues, blinding oncoming driver issues, etc. I then looked into a full replacement unit, and though a great solution, I'm not interested in spending $500 - $600 right now - maybe later on. I started looking into the HID style halogen lamps. I've been checking into Philips, Sylvania, PIAA, and a bunch of other brands. What I have found is that every single one of these has the same reviews. Some say they look exactly like HID, others say not even close. Some say they are really bright, others say their factory lights were brighter. Some say they last long, others say just a few months. I found the Philips Crystal Vision to have the most consistent reviews. I decided to drop $30 on a pair, and 20 minutes install time, knowing that if I didn't like them, I could put my old bulbs in and only be out a few bucks and some time. The bulbs arrived and they come with the blue tip which helps create the whiter looking like. Some people praise this, while others tell you to stay far far away. Here is my experience: 1. The lights are definitely whiter. They are not HID white, and wouldn't be mistaken for it, but they are much whiter than the factory lights and look better with my fog/DRL setup. 2. They are brighter. Philips doesn't advertise these as being brighter, like they do with their VisionPlus and X-Treme Vision, as they are only supposed to be whiter, but they are definitely brighter. I drive through dark hills most nights, and I can see much better. The beam pattern is the same, just everything is more illuminated. 3. I can't yet tell, obviously, how long they last, but will update whenever necessary. I am definitely going to upgrade the high beams as well. If you're looking for a whiter light, and don't want to go through the expense or technical difficulties of retrofitting, I think the CrystalVision are a great alternative. Not perfect, but I'm very happy!
  12. So, my saga is complete, here is what I found: First, it isn't as simple as adding the OEM fog light harness and OEM switch. I also have a 2016 Fusion SE and it is not wired for fog lights. Thanks to TXFRDOwner's post above, I can confirm that the C134 module does not have the fog lamp wires. Fortunately The job wasn't too difficult. The Drive Bright kit comes with all the parts necessary (Brackets, housings, harnesses, junction boxes, bezels with DRLs, standard H11 bulbs and a set of H11 LED bulbs if you want to match the DRLs) and instructions that made the job fairly easy for someone who has never done anything like this before. I am extremely happy with the results - my only gripe is that because the car isn't internally wired for the fog lamps, I can't use the OEM switch to trigger the fog lights. Right now I have the trigger wire tapped to the main headlamp wire so they fire when the headlights go on, but not when only the DRLs are on. I'm sure someone with more know how could get the switch to work, but for now it is above my head. Hope this was helpful.
  13. Oh! I didn't look at the photo - I thought we were talking about the chrome piece under the window on the doors. My apologies. For the quarter glass, as far as I know it is just sold as a complete unit. And here I thought I finally helped someone! Next time. PS - it may be worth a trip to a junkyard.
