  1. Has anyone heard anything about this recently? I saw the announcement back in January. Have they updated a release date or pricing?
  2. I found it useful. I have a 2013 SE, and the stock headlights aren't bright enough for my preference. I don't want to go overboard, but a bump in light output would be nice to me.
  3. My 2013 Fusion is the same. It generally doesn't bother me much, but I think since many others have a similar issue I'll see what my dealers say about replacing it. I've got a lot of them in the immediate area.
  4. Ford's accessories site says this is 2014 and newer. Is there any reason this wouldn't work in a '13? It'd be nice to have a remote start from Ford that works on my phone rather than another **** fob in my pocket. Part number: RS-RemAccess-C.
  5. Did you replace the batteries in the key fobs? It sounds like they're weak.
  6. I've had 3.8 for MFT since February. Also with no issues.
  7. I had something similar. My dealer traced it (after many miles of driving around) to a loose shield under the car. It sounded like it was coming from the rear passenger door. So maybe check under the car too? Mine went away when they tightened it up.
  8. TX, how did you do the rear bumper reflectors to LEDs? I haven't seen any parts for that.
  9. Even after the cookie and browser data wipe I still can't get it to show that my 2013 fusion with MFT needs an update. Does 4.6 not apply? It says I'm on SYNC3.8.
  10. Keep us posted on the results. I might be interested in that too!
  11. I got a 2016 SE with the MyFordTouch tech package as a loaner last week. I will confirm the new cars have no RCA jacks and only one USB and one SD card slot. It has a new light around it to help you see in the dark, but much less flexible. The software for the screens on either side of the speedometer was different too. On the right screen they added a compass display. It now has all four usable from the steering wheel direction pad. They also removed some of what I consider "techie" options in the Fuel Economy menu on the left. You can no longer see your average fuel economy over the last 5, 10 or 30 minutes. But you can manually turn on and off Daytime Running Lights. Overall the car seemed "dumbed down". A pity.
  12. Thanks akirby. I'll look for it. The master reset doesn't solve it permanently, as it has today come back to doing what I described in the first post. And with a different cable as well. It is mildly distracting as I can keep seeing a flicker of movement in my peripheral vision. I end up putting it back to the four panel Home screen, but then I lose access to the pause button.
  13. Had a 2011 Fusion SE that I bought two years ago with 37,000 miles on it. It got totaled in a collision with a snow plow blade at 65. (Blade won, right front corner of the car lost). Replaced it with a 2013 Tuxedo Black SE with 30,000 miles at the beginning of March. Up to 36,500 already. I love my Darth Vader sedan (as my 5 yr old daughter calls it). Funniest thing is the 2013 was owned by a funeral home before I got it. They took exquisite care of it. I did, however find in the trunk....................... 3 golf balls. Edit: Additional question, when did Ford switch away from the touch panels for buttons (my map lights you touch the light and the door off and such are touch pads not buttons) and when did they change the turn signal stalk to stay down (or up) and not return to center? I assume they did these changes to save money...
  14. Master reset seems to have helped. The text is gone now from the lower left when the Entertainment panel is selected. I do wish Ford had provided a way to reboot the full Sync system without a master reset or pulling the battery cable.
  15. Beautiful! Congrats on the purchase!
  16. akirby, I did try both ports in the console. But it could be the connection from them. I'll try the master reset when I get it back from the dealer.
  17. I can confirm it does not do the rapid flashing back and forth between iPhone Detected and Voice Commands Available on the 2016 loaner with the original cable. I guess it is something odd in my MyFord Touch interface.
  18. I have tried it with two cables and in each of the USB ports. I have a loaner 2016 Fusion with the tech package today, as they are trying to diagnose a high speed rattle in the rear door of my car. I will see if it does the same thing.
  19. I did neglect to say that it has the Ford logo as well. Would that still be considered "aftermarket" or did I get lucky?
  20. I will say that Safelite replaced my windshield due to a crack in it. I don't have a rain sensor or anything. They put in an "aftermarket" windshield. It has the exact same markings as the OEM windshield. Carlite, Soundscreen, etc. Identical windshield. So some aftermarket windshields are identical. Geico paid for the replacement but not an OEM one.
