  1. So recently I noticed something, and given I work in the industry, I am somewhat concerned. The WHOLE windshield is delaminating around the edge. I work at a windshield supplier/wholesaler for places like Safelite, local installers and so on, and after talking to a few of them, they all told me that they have replaced many windows on Fusions for this same problem. I usually come across this here and there while I am working and pulling orders/inspecting and we send them back to our corporate as being defective, seeing as how those lamination bubbles can expand. This is not an off market brand either and is the original Carlite window (these are expensive compared to aftermarket OEM replacements) Anyone else notice this on their Fusions? I doubt Ford will issue a TSB for anything like this given the consider it "cosmetic" because it does not interfere with seeing out of the window, but given it can expand and affect the integrity of the glass, I wonder if they know about it
  2. Oddly enough I have this same issue and its so hit or miss, I have not been able to pinpoint what causes it as my car throws zero codes. I get the sputtering and eventual stall, with the Accessory power active thing popping up on my dash, and the green dot flashing on the push to start button. I actually took mine to a repair place and they kept it for 3 days, ran numerous tests and took it out for drives (after I told them when it usually seems to happen), and guess what...they found nothing
  3. This was my post from 2018, and it sounds similar to yours. It ended up costing me around 250 for the part and labor, at a dealership.
  4. Thank you for the clarification. I guess this recall came about because of all the complaints to the NTSB about the problem. I wonder if any other Fusion owners bothered to file a report with them as well. Anything messing with the fuel tank can not be to safe i assume. I also read some reports about their Fusions stalling as well.
  5. As I am sure everyone knows Ford has issued a recall for approximately 1.5 million examples of the 2012-2018 Ford Focus. Roughly 1.3 million are located in the US and its territories, with the remainder in Mexico and Canada. The affected vehicles pack naturally aspirated or turbocharged 2.0-liter gas engines, and all were built at Ford's Michigan Assembly Plant. The problem comes from the fuel system. The canister purge valve, which helps circulate fuel vapor, might become stuck open. On top of that, the powertrain control module in charge of detecting a stuck-open purge valve might also malfunction. If both of these things occur, the fuel tank might become deformed due to excessive vacuum. When that happens, a check-engine light may come on, the fuel gauge might start acting weird or the vehicle may stall completely, the latter of which is a pretty big safety concern. To those Fusion owners that are suffering from the "farting" noise coming from the fuel inlet area, do you think there is a possibility this may be the same purge valve used in our cars? I only ask because recently I started experiencing the noise, the stalling after fueling, the rough idle, etc. I have been in contact with Ford about this, and my dealer claims to have never heard of the issue. I ordered a replacement part Monday, and was told yesterday that it was placed on backorder, and wont be shipped until 11/26. After having the issue for a few weeks (random noises from the inlet), today my car decided to pop the check engine light, so I am heading to get the code for when I approach the dealer tomorrow.

    Hola everyone

I had to take a photo of a photo for 3 of these since I do not own a scanner and they were still in physical photo form. I do not have one of the Grand AM or the Sunfire (still who would want to see those :P). Also the 78 Monte still had the stock rims, so once I got it I immediately swapped those out for better chrome ones :P

    Hola everyone

New to this scene. Well actually new to Fords in general. Recently traded in my 2004 GTO for a 2015 Fusion Titanium and couldn't be happier. List of past cars include : 1978 Monte Carlo (accident) 1984 Dodge Shelby Charger (constant clutch issues plus the shift linkage wouldn't stay connected) 1978 Oldsmobile Starfire Firenza (numerous issues, frame cracked) 1986 Pontiac Grand AM (rusted to the point of undriveablilty, but prior to this it was reliable as all heck) 1999 Pontiac Sunfire (absolutely NO power what so ever, plus being 6'6 at the time, was alittle cramped) 2001 Monte Carlo (went thru 3 transmissions while under factory/ extended warranty) 2004 Pontiac GTO (past 5 months I replaced the tires, brakes, belts, water pump, radiator, battery, plus other issues I was having, but being 12 years old with 95k miles on it, it was time. Also this was my daily driver, even thru the nice Wisconsin winters. Don't get me wrong it was fun yes, but some days it was white knuckle driving all the way home, especially with the 6 speed manual) Anyway, I fell in love with the look of the Fusion, and after shopping around I picked up a 2015 2.0L Titanium with 19,500 miles and this thing is a dream to drive. All the bells and whistles have me completely spoiled!! So thats it for me..I will be poking around the forums for alittle bit to see what sort of knowledge the other members can bestow upon this new owner
