  1. I understand the feeling haha, too many e-thugs and internet know it alls, they tend to argue with little information. I for one, was not aware of the effects premium may have on my vehicle that I would like to last a long time, and you simply provided me with valid information in a concerned manner. Something some people just dont know how to do. I thank you for your kindness. Thanks for the wishes, she should be a fun car. Will be posting more pictures shortly.
  2. Thank you for your information, I do not see it as an attack, you are informing the misinformed. No harm, no foul. I will be making the change back to 87 with the next fill up, good thing I only started using 93 about...1-1,500 miles ago. Like I posted, I'm just so used to it being required in my past cars that I still have, so it's more of a memory game. Thank you again.

  4. The frame that both cars are built on is the same. As for which powertrain parts, Mazda and Ford share engines and many other parts, however I'm not sure if theyre EXACTLY the same or interchangeable.
  5. Ford is planning to release an SVT oriented Fusion, we've been briefed on it in an annual Ford dealership meeting on planned products. However, it was originally slated for 2010, but due to it's increased focus on the Ecoboost engines and model placement for the said engines. The said SVT Fusion has put on the back burner and is now expected in the 2012 model year. If things go as planned, possibly sooner, but it will be an S4 "competitor" with the capabilities in a handling sense and power coming around 340-360 horse. I'm excited.
  6. Royal Purple is great oil, used it on my 240sx before she passed. However, I've noticed a 2mpg spike in my average MPG under the same driving conditions with a switch to 93. I've just always had cars that required it that I'm used to it, I don't mind the small price difference for a cleaner burning fuel.
  7. Hi guys, New to this forum, not to the car world. I just purchased my 2009 Ford Fusion back in July after I ordered it in May. I work for Ford here in Pennsylvania, needed a reliable, fuel efficient and comfortable daily driver. Here's the basics: 2009 Fusion SE Redfire Clearcoat metallic Charcoal Black interior 5 speed Manual transmission Options: Sunroof and Sync Sports appearance package I didnt get a lot of extras because I wanted to keep the price under $20k, drove it home for $20,013 when it was all said and done. The car now has 6,200 miles on it and I already have plans for her, shes treating me excellent and I run her with Motorcraft full synthetic with 93 octane fuel. Ive experienced up to 42 mpg on the highway! I've already added 6000k HID headlights that appear OEM, much like the new Mustang HID lights. My other plans include alot of Steeda parts to stiffen it up and get it breathing a little better and possibly H&R adjustable coilovers. Attached a rolling shot my buddy took of the car, will post more later. Her paint has already been protected with 3 coats of marina wax, looks like the day I got it (which is when she got her first coat) Enjoy!
