  1. Thanks everyone! That has been a big help. Since my last post I did take the 2016 Fusion for a test drive. I didn't see any blind spots that the mirrors didn't pick up. I normally have a 32oz water bottle but and a normal size coffee cup. I think the water bottle will get in the way but 98% of the time it's just me in the car so I can always put the bottle in the passenger seat. After the test drive I fell in love with the car and I am sad that I didn't buy it then and there! ElectricFan I will definitely keep the seat memory into consideration! As far as my phone I have an android operating system, but I will do as everyone suggest for the air vents! Tammy
  2. Thank you, that is a big help and one less thing to worry about! :happy feet: Tammy!
  3. Hi everyone, I'm new here and am looking into buying a Fusion 2016. The only car I have ever owned is a 2007 PT Cruiser. I fell in love with the Fusion. I have some concerns that I'm hoping some Fusion 2016 owners can help me with. I commute 45 minutes to work everyday. I have a larger than the already bottled 12oz water bottle and a coffee cup every morning. My concern is if you have two cups in the cup holder does that get in the way of shifting gears? I also do a lot of parallel parking and so I normally need to shift quickly. I'm on the fence about buying the 2017 Fusion because the cup holder placement is different (and the shifter is a turn dial); however the 2017 is a bit more expensive coming out of the gate. I don't think the 2017 is in my budget. Second, are there any big blind spots on the 2016 Fusion? I know there are packages to help with that (which I haven't fully looked into yet) and the side mirrors have a blind spot mirror on it. But if you turn your head to look over your shoulder has anyone noticed that features of the car obscure your view when looking in the blind spots? Last, has anyone come into issues when your phone is synced to the car that because of the air vents the person on the phone with you can't hear you? I have read reviews not on here that people have had this issue. If so how did you fix the noise problem? Thanks so much Tammy
  4. Hi There everyone, I am looking into getting a Fusion 2016, which will be my first Fusion ever. I have watched videos on the car. One concern I have is that from my understanding to add fuel to the car you just push on the fuel door and it clicks opened. Does anyone know if there is a way to lock this from just coming opened like that? I live in a busy city and before I got a locking gas cap I have had lots of gas siphoned from my tank on more than one occasion (so have my neighbors for that matter). I cannot not have a locking gas cap. On my 2007 PT Cruiser the gas cap I bought the cap itself locks with a key. Thanks Tammy
  5. Hi there, I have been looking into buying a new 2016 Fusion. I have a few questions for you if you don't mind. I currently have a 2007 PT Cruiser which has been the only car I have ever had. I fell in love with the Fusion for its inside design. I have not test drove the car yet by the way. Here are my questions if you could help me out: 1) First off a big concern that I have with the 2016 is the placement of the cup holders. I commute about 45 minutes to work one way and every morning I have a water bottle and a coffee cup. Have you found that when you had 2 cups in the cup holders does this interfere with you shifting gears. I also do a lot of parallel parking too and I need quick access to the shifter. This is such a stupid issue but it's one that is making me question if I want to wait and get the 2017 Fusion instead just because of the cup holder placement. However the 2017 is a bit more expensive right out of the gate and not sure if I can work that price tag in my budget! 2) Is there big blind spots on the Fusion. I know that there are packages to help with that and the side mirrors have a blind spot mirror on it. Going off of the blind spots, have you noticed when you turn to look over your shoulder that parts of the back part of your car blocks too much of the blind spots? 3) have you had any problems with if your phone is synced to the car the people you are talking to can't hear you? Some reviews I've seen, not on this forum, have complained about the air vents making too much noise for the people on the phone to hear you. And if you came into this problem what have you done to minimize the noise? I think that is all right now. I am planning on buying the Fusion in the next two months. I really love the red color or the brown/red color since its so different! Any input will be greatly appreciated! Tammy
