  1. Sounds like battery problem. Charge it, if you don't have a charger, take it to O'rilley, or any other auto parts store that will charge it, and have them test it. All free of charge.
  2. So exactly a year ago, I bought a 2011 Fusion 2.5 SE, 6-speed manual gearbox. It is bare bones, with only options being front plate bracket, rear spoiler, and CA emissions. Cost out the door - $7600 Mileage at purchase - 65,226 Mileage today - 105,926 Total miles driven in one year - 40,700 Cost of driving for one year. All maintenance, additions, and fixes, done by me, except alignment and tire mounting. All oil changes using synthetic motor oil and Motorcraft filter Fuel - $2777 Gallons burned - 1285 65,736 - Oil change - $28.90 - 5/28/16 65,736 - Steeda Strut tower brace - $88.90 - 6/3/16 67,765 - Wipers - $17.23 - 6/24/16 73,529 - Oil Change - $28.90 - 7/29/16 74,854 - Alignment - $75.33 - 8/8/16 74,857 - Tires (Dougls from WM) - $357.32 - 8/8/16 76,277 - Steeda Cold Air Intake (eBay) - $120 - 8/21/16 80,349 - Windshield chip repair - $19.95 - 9/14/16 80,774 - Oil change - $32.22 - 9/25/16 89,896 - Oil Change - $32.22 - 12/3/16 89,896 - Fixed Speedo - $12.10 - 12/3/16 89,896 - Replaced left tail light - $50 - 12/3/16 93,459 - KC Hilites Apollo Series - $105.21 - 12/10/16 93,450 - KC Light Covers - $18.04 - 12/27/16 97,963 - Oil change - $32.22 - 2/5/17 100,820 - Interstate Battery - $97.01 - 3/31/17 101,720 - Coolant Flush - $17.63 - 4/7/17 101,720 - Motorcraft Spark Plugs - $16.79 - 4/7/17 102,586 - Bosch Front Rotors - $106.02 - 4/21/17 102,586 - Bosch Front Brake Pads - $41.19 - 4/21/17 102,586 - Front Rotor Screw - $1.71 - 4/21/17 102,586 - Brake fluid flush - $7.21 - 4/21/17 103,465 - Bosch Rear Rotors - $57.94 - 4/28/17 103,465 - Bosch rear brake pads - $38.62 - 4/28/17 103,465 - Steeda Lowering Springs - $179.95 - 4/28/17 103,465 - KYB Shocks & Struts - $165.18 - 4/28/17 105,358 - Oil Change - $28.99 - 5/19/17 105,358 - Steeda Rear Sway Bar - $114.96 - 5/19/17 PARTS & SERVICE: $1891.74 FUEL: $2777 TOTAL COST: $4668.74 You could subtract all the parts that I didn't "need" like Steeda and KC lights. It would bring the cost of parts and service down to $1264.68. However, driving as much as I do, I'd like for the car to handle well. KC lights helped a lot too, diving at night on some secondary country roads. Honestly, the car out handles itself. Now it's too slow for its ability to corner. Few days after purchase Speedo was kinda jumping around. Culprit, damaged wiring to the sensor. Somebody tried to fix it before me. KC Hilites Installed Day of suspension upgrade. Before the springs AFTER Stock vs. Steeda Rear Stock vs. Steeda Sway bar
  3. No doubt! This, plus their fast shipping, and good prices, will have me coming back for more!
  4. Couple months ago I bought Steeda springs from ebay. They're sold by Steeda stating "NEW item with powder coating blemishes..." We all know that official color of Steeda is BLUE. However, these springs are Vogtland maroon. They came in Steeda box, but no markings of any kind on the springs whatsoever. I contacted the seller asking if Vogtland makes springs for Steeda and the response I got: "I do not know who makes those for us". If that's not Vogtland color, I don't know what is...
  5. Looks really good! Pardon my ignorance, but is the front windshield tinted?
  6. Mostly. 85248 to 87402 and back every week (~850 miles) It usually takes me less, but I let family members use the car for total of three weeks to run around the town. Normally I put 7500 miles in two months with 95% highway.
  7. I live in South Chandler, so completely opposite end of Phoenix from you. I work in Farmington NM Monday through Thursday, hence so many miles driven in short time. I leave home Sunday afternoon and come back Thursday night
  8. OK my good people. Here is what I have logged in so far Vehicle purchase date 5/27/16 65,736 Mobil 1 on 5/28/16 Initial oil change as new owner 73,529 Mobil 1 7/29/16 - Driven 62 days and 7523 miles since last oil change 80,774 Castrol Edge High Mileage 9/25/16 - Driven 58 days and 7245 miles 89,896 Castrol Edge 12/3/16 - Driven 69 days and 9122 miles 97,963 Castrol Edge 2/5/17 - Driven 64 days and 8067 miles As I said in OP, 95% of my driving is done on the highway. My IOLM is pretty much 1%=100 miles. I changed the oil yesterday, drove ~420 miles and IOLM shows 98%, so a little better than 1% per 100 miles at the moment.
  9. Thanks for replies! I think I found the culprit. It was bugging me that if I got the cruise to work, it would kick off if I hit a bump. Loose connection, right? As soon as I went to pull the plug, the wire separated from the socket. And it looks like it already had that problem on the other wire. I'm going to the salvage yard tomorrow to pick up another harness, and hopefully it'll fix the issue.
  10. Speedometer needle will go all over the clock, especially when I first start driving, cold. It was doing it every once in a while, now it hardly ever stops. Sometimes when the cruise control is on, the car will hit a minor bump, the speedo needle will jump slightly and cruise cancels until I hit resume. Many times it won't resume cruise on first press. I also noticed that if I roll in neutral, down a mountain for few miles, when I throw it in sixth gear, the speedo needle will be all over and cruise wont engage, for few miles. Is my speedo sensor fuct? Sorry for the quality, but iphone 5s doesn't seem to like to shoot a sharp video in this case.
  11. Yeah, every 5000kms is overkill with synthetic. Conventional yes, but with synthetic, you're good for 10-12K kms easy
  12. Welcome, I'm pretty new here myself. So what did you drive before you bought a Ford? So you wanna spice it up with aftermarket parts? Here is a good start http://www.steedafusion.com/2013-2014-fusion-parts/
  13. Motorcraft is a good oil, but I wouldn't say it costs much less than Mobil 1. The difference is $4.91 for a 5 quart jug, between the two, at Walmart. If I change mine 7000-8000 miles, the difference is totally worth it, for me. So about how many miles is that?
  14. Car - 2011 SE 2.5 Current Mileage - 73,500 Driven Daily ~ 850 miles a week, 95% of which is highway So when I first picked up the car, couple months ago, I changed the oil and filter. I used Mobil 1 5w20, and Motorcraft filter. I have reset oil change interval and since, have driven 7800 miles. As of now, I have "22% OIL LIFE" left. So do you guys change your oil when OIL LIFE is near 0%, or do it sooner. It seems a little excessive to me to go over 8000 miles, even with full synthetic. I'm going to change it now, but I was wondering how often do you guys do it.
  15. It's this one http://www.labatteries.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=867
  16. The way the tower brace mounts in this car is so subtle, I like it a lot. Fogs work fine, but I think I need to adjust the headlights more to my liking.
  17. How's it going everyone! So I needed a commuter/daily driver that is a little different. I searched and found what I was looking for. 2011 Fusion 2.5, with 65K miles and a 6 SPEED MANUAL GEARBOX! I had to drive 350 miles, each way to get it, but it was worth it. I paid $6900 for it, so come on! I'm a 3rd owner and its a SoCal car. I really like driving it, but this thing is well, kinda slow, and doesn't have much torque. Yeah, yeah, I know, it's a 4 banger Fusion, not a Mustang GT. But not all is lost, manual gearbox makes it fun to drive, and things could and will be added to make it move a little faster and handle better. I drive about 850 miles a week, and over 400 of it is up and down twisty mountain roads. So, before I even started to drive my new toy, I put Steeda strut tower brace on it. Here is the list of things I will add, in that order. Other suggestions, comments welcome. Thanks for looking! 1 Steeda Cold Air Intake or K&N. 2 Steeda Rear Sway Bar 3. JMS PedalMAx 4 & 5. Springs and Struts, not sure what brand yet. 6. Probably EBC pads and rotors. 7. Tires, eventually. Current Michelins will do for now. Probably ditch the hubcaps and paint the five spoke steelies black, or dark graphite. OH YEAH!!!
