  1. Ok guys.. I have an update... So, when I created this post back Nov of 2016.. a little over a year go... I said I was going to fill the antifreeze level between the MAX and MIN line and I also made a mark with a sharpie.... today, I had the oil changed done at the dealer...so, when I got home.. I waited until the engine cooled down...I see that the level went down to the MIN line, which is about .5 inch from the mark i had made last time. So, I have never seen any puddles or smelled antifreeze in my garage...but the coolant level keeps dropping on its own... is this normal? Is it possible the dealer removed coolant to drop the level to the MIN line? (I doubt it).. Any ideas?
  2. Hi.. My Fusion has 26k miles. I keep my car inside my garage and never outside. I started noticing that when I turn the engine ON, sometimes the AC feels cold within 15-20 seconds...other times, it would never blow cold air even after minutes of waiting.. I have taken my car to the dealership and I've been told there's nothing wrong and they can't find anything out of the ordinary. I honestly cannot believe this is normal operation of the AC.. I understand the air will take a few seconds for it to feel cold when starting the car, but what I am saying is that half the time the air does not feel as cold as other times.. it doesn't feel hot, but definitely feels like room temperature even when changing the setting to the lowest setting of "Lo"....other times, it gets really, really cold within seconds. does this mean that the compressor is not coming ON when it should?... if this is the case, then wouldn't that show up on the diagnostics?
  3. When i log into my owner.ford.com account, and go to my maintenance schedule..it also says to change the oil every 10k miles.
  4. I own a 2016 2.5L SE and my manual says every 10k miles or 12 months..which ever comes first.. but, the ford website says on cars 2008 and newer it's every 7500 miles or 6 months.. very confusing.
  5. Hi guys.. I own a 2016 SE model with the same rattle noise coming from inside the cluster.. Does this TSB work for mine? Since mine is still under warranty, should I just take it to the dealer?.. the thing with mine is that you have to drive at least 60-65 mph with the radio off to hear it... it's not loud, but i can definitely hear it.
  6. hahahah.. yes, sorry.. f, not c.. I work with computers and c is often used for temps!
  7. AhA!,. I found where the noise is coming from.. it's from the the center rear AC fins... I guess whenever I set a temp that only opens the heater vents a little bit, it makes that mini hurricane sound.. I guess is just the air passing through a small gap on the vent.. once I increase the temp or lower it by 1 degree, the sounds stops.
  8. Hi guys! Recently, I have noticed when setting the AC to blow heat at full speed it makes a weird noise as if there was something hitting the fan blades, but the weird thing is that it only happens whenever the heater kicks in... What I mean is, you know when you have the temp let's say at 70c and you increase the temp to 72C or any degree that makes the heater turn ON, well, at that moment, the fluttering noise starts, then it goes away after the it gets hotter... Once it doesn't do it at 72c anymore, I increase the temp to 73c or 74, the noise starts... I guess it's when the flaps that mix the cold and hot air open, is when the noise starts. I have never seen this before. At first I though it was debris or something but it's clean and the noise is when the heater if ON at full blast coming from top and bottom.. there is no issue with COLD at full blast on any setting...only the heater... any ideas? I know this is very difficult to understand because It's very hard to explain what it's doing.
  9. Hopefully water.. but from where?.. it must have come from to the top, but there's nothing that would leak water in that area.
  10. Well.. I know I said water, but what I really meant was liquid.. I couldn't see the color because it is on the actual heat deflector.. I just touched that section of the deflector with my finger and it was wet, but it was definitely not oil.
  11. Thank you.. I was checking under the car to see if I saw the water puddle..but then I realized these cars have those heat deflectors that go all the way to the back of the car, so any liquid or oil would fall on those shields and never hit the ground....but, I found something odd.. I found right in the middle section of the front deflector.. a little ways behind the radiator.. a small puddle of water on the actual shield.. what is worrying me is that the only thing in that area to leak water is the water pump... now I am super worried.. Im gonna have to have it checked out.
  12. I've been told that it could also be water stuck in the AC drain line. Does anybody know where the drain line is.. I can't find it on this car. I see 2 plastic "boots" with a lid..they are hanging from the firewall, but Im not sure what that is. I tried looking in the manual, but I was not able to find the AC drain line.
  13. Hi.. Today, after stopping at a red light, I started hearing this faint noise in the car..even my son asked me what it was and I couldn't tell him. The best way to describe the noise is.. "gurgling" - - I notice it only when the AC compressor kicks in. If the radio is on, the noise cannot be heard, even on low volume. So, is this something I should be concerned about? - maybe early signs of something going bad with the AC system? My car has 21K miles.
  14. You know what.. Im just going to spend the extra $7 and buy the Ford coolant VC-3DIL-B which is what the manual says..it's $21.88 in Amazon.. I'll get it in 2 days since I have Prime.. Im not gonna worry about this anymore..haha.
  15. here is what I bought. funny.. I tried other auto parts online and when searching for coolant using my car's info.. this one is the one that comes up... are you sure I can't use this one? I tried Oreily's and AutoZone, both recommended this one.
