  1. There is a slight advantage to living in Detroit and having access to Ford engineers. Ford has identified the problem and says that if we wait 3 -4 minutes after putting the car in park and shutting the engine off, it will fuel properly. I tested this and they are correct. However, for now, it is expedient to simply turn the electrical system back on, without starting the car, and pump the gas. As mentioned above, that works too. The engineer says he has a software fix that they are applying to vehicles now being manufactured and will have the modification available to dealers soon.
  2. After 3 trips to the dealer to have the filler neck replaced, then the tank and finally the lines, I am still experiencing the same problems. The dealer said there is nothing more for them to do. It just stopped 3 times while adding only 3 gallons. Then I turned the electrical system on, as suggested above, and it put in 6 more gallons without stopping. I will test this again, but it is looking more and more like an electrical problem rather than a mechanical one. Having the electrical system on seems to be the solution for now.
  3. Which Dealer have you or are you intending to use?
  4. I have the same fuel filling problem that was described. I tried several different gas stations, selecting the lowest setting on the pump handle, and every possible position for the nozzle. Nothing made any difference. My first visit to the dealership resulted in a new filler neck and the second trip had the fuel tank replaced. I am returning to the dealership as soon as I consume enough gas so I can watch them refill the tank.
