I have a 2012 SEL and had the very same issue as you. I tried everything I could think of, including peeing on the plugs but alas nothing worked until I replaced the battery. I tech here told me that the batteries only last a couple years on these vehicles and can cause some really F'd up and strange problems.

New battery is installed! All is right with my world again. Thanks guys!

You're right, now that I look back on it. My volume went out again last night and then came back on this morning. New cars, strange problems

A good friend of mine owns a company that sells batteries. His guy is delivering one to me tomorrow for free... Hopefully this will solve my mysterious electrical issues. The battery in my 2003 Taurus lasted for a lot longer than 3 years so I guess my expectations were a bit high on this Fusion

Yeah My heater was off again too and when I started it the battery was lagging again. If I leave my doors open for loading purposes, the dome lights drain the battery. I just can't believe a battery can go bad in 4 years?

And now it's working again?! I did nothing to fix it... Thank you to all for the attempts at helping me with this ridiculous issue.

Okay, I plan on pulling it into a heated garage this weekend and will do that. It's been very cold here and I just started a new job so I haven't been able to really delve into this. It's my Baby and she can't talk to me ya know? It's keeping me up at night man!

I followed the master reset instructions which included deleting Sync from my phone and disconnecting and I still have no sound...

I forgot to mention that my screen is normal. It shows that I'm playing iTunes, AM/FM, etc but I can't even get prompt or voice commands to come over the speakers. Thank you again!!

2012 Fusion, SEL w/Sony premium system, no nav screen... One minute I had volume and the next it muted itself. The only thing I did is hard line my iphone right after starting the vehicle. The heater was also off when I started the car? I've done two master resets and two resets to factory settings and nothing! Please help!! I've got the CarMax extended warranty but a $250 deductible that I can't afford right now. Any ideas guys and gals?
