Finally got the car back in today for repair and it turned out to be exactly what JohnInOttawa stated.

The front passenger side speed sensor wire harness needed to be replaced due to a break in a wire.

Unfortunately the speed sensor wire harness was not covered under extended warranty so my final bill (with tax) from my local ford dealership here in New Brunswick, Canada was $299.

The tone ring can break and that causes the sensor to report incorrect speeds. Should be easy to check yourself.

I just looked it up, seems real easy to check. I will check it tonight.

The car is scheduled to go back in early next week to finish up the troubleshooting / repair.

They were quite busy today and just fit me in to start looking at it.

Did they check the tone ring?

Not that i am aware of.

Update:

They did a diagnostic and it states code C0034 -- right front speed sensor.

The tech inspected everything and it looks fine so they swapped it out but the code remains. Was hoping it was going to be as easy as replacing a speed sensor but looks to be something more complicated now.

They are continuing to look at it.

Yes warranty is still in effect.

Unfortunately I do not have a scantool. I just made an appointment for tomorrow with the dealership to get a scan done on it, hopefully something will come up on that scan.

I have never replaced the battery in this car.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but if it was a bad battery wouldn't the car not start or have issues starting?

2013 Ford Fusion 2.0L Ecoboost SE

Hey everyone. First post here. Just joined however I have been using this forum for a while now anytime I run into some trouble and its always been helpful.

Hoping someone might know what is going on here. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

The other day i started the car and a bunch of lights came on the dash, warnings and I noticed the steering was tougher (loss of electric/power steering)

I thought the issue might be in relation to the restraint control module recall but this was completed and did not fix the issue.

The following lights are on and warnings display:

Warnings:

- Hill Start Assist Not Available

- Check Rear Park Aid

- Service AdvanceTrac

Lights On: I have also included a picture of the dash

- ABS

- Air Bag

- Traction Control

- StabiliTrac (I assume)
