  1. Dealerships around here will not perform any Sync updates. Only update they will perform is at time of vehicle purchase.
  2. I have owned 3 different Fusions, 2011 SE, 2013 S and 2016 SE. I have never had any problems with abnormal tire wear. Granted the Goodyear LS2 that have been the OEM tires left a lot to be desired in the handling department on the 2013 and 2016. Both tires wore out with in 25k miles. I have found that maintaining correct tire pressures is nagging issue that I have constantly battled on all my Fusions. I always carried an air pump in my trunk and found myself adding air at least once a month. Now with my 2017 Sport, I can monitor my pressures from the dash display and have had no problems so far. I do agree with my fellow posters, that there are many different variables that can cause the tires to wear out "early". But, if there is no uneven wear, that pretty much throws out alignment/strut issues. Not trying to funny or an a**, but it just sounds like you may be a little tougher on your tires than you think.
  3. Late to the show, but here is link for some alternate tire sizes and if they will fit: https://www.automobile-catalog.com/tire/2012/1420220/ford_fusion_sel_2_5l_automatic.html
  4. Welcome! You will find all kinds of useful info from the folks here.
  5. Welcome Trapper! On my fourth Fusion and I have no complaints.
  6. Had my PTU Fluid changed on my 2017 Sport today (31K Miles) at a local dealership. Provided my own Valvoline 75W140 full synthetic. They had never done a PTU Oil change. I had to tell them where the drain and fill plugs were. There were 4-5 tech standing around under the lift just so they could see where everything was. Drain plug had about 1/4 inch of debris on the magnet of the drain plug. Oil was very black Refill took about 22 ounces.
  7. Installed a MMBCC-CBTWO-BK Mishimoto Compact Baffled Oil Catch Can, 2-Port today, in my 2017 Sport. To aid in lowering the blow-by and vapors, I use only full synthetic oil and top tier gas. My only issue is that when I bought the car (CPO) it already had 30k miles on it and I do not know how well the previous owner took care of the car. Yes, I can see that he did his oil changes on time and maintained the tires. But, I do not know what kind of oil he used or what type of gas. Will check it in a 1000 miles and see what deposits happen.
  8. Thanks, bangster!! Yes, the extra horsepower is a very nice rush. The handling of the all wheel drive is also very nice. Another nice thing, was being able to move the strut tower brace from my 2.0 to the new car. Going around curves is like being on a rail, nice and flat. Was able to move my K&N air filter over, also. Didn't realize the gas tank was a 17 gallon instead of the 13. Nice wake up call at the gas pump. One thing I didn't look at. But, hey! You gotta pay to play! No complaints.
  9. If you have questions on what size tires will fit your Fusion, you can follow the link below. Fist Gen: https://www.automobile-catalog.com/model/ford_usa/fusion_usa_1gen.html Second Gen: https://www.automobile-catalog.com/model/ford_usa/fusion_usa_2gen.html Find your car sub-model and year spec review and "Click" On the page that is now showing, look down and find "Other detailed data for this car:" In this section "Click" on the "Standard and Alternate Wheel and Tire Size" The page will now show you the standard size wheel and tire that comes with the original car, then below that there will be listed multiple options, including warnings for tires that are too wide. Once you see something in a size you might like, then go to https://www.tacomaworld.com/tirecalc?tires. Plug in the size tire that you currently have and then tire you are looking for. This will give some great info and visualization of your selection.
  10. Well Folks, I went and did it. I traded in my 2016 Fusion 2.0 (Bought used, CPO) and got myself 2017 Fusion Sport (CPO). Saw the ad, the price was right, and trade price was what I needed. It was a custom order car. On top of standard equipment the options included: Equipment Group 401A - Sport Upgrade Package - Reverse Sensing System - Heated Front Seats Also included Optional Equipment: - 19" Premium Painted Dark Wheels - Power Moon Roof w/Garage Door Opener - Enhanced Active Park Assist - Cooled Driver/Passenger Seats - Adaptive Cruise Control w/Stop & Go - Rear Inflatable Safety Belts - Sync Connect - Driver Assist Package - Lane Keeping System - BLIS W/Cross Traffic Alert Drove three hours to get from car from Dealership, so had a nice 3 hour ride back to get to know the car. Wow, the difference in Power and Handling is amazing. The all wheel drive transmission shifts are really smooth compared to my 2.0. Driving 65-70 down a two lane highway and needing to pass the car in front. Punch it and you at 100 in a heartbeat. Gonna really have watch myself. One drawback, was previous owner had all window tinted including wind shield. In Louisiana, you can't have tint on the wind shield. So, I will have to have it removed, but I will have a "Bra" installed across the top. I will have pictures to add once it stops raining.
  11. Here is some info for the 2010 Sport. https://www.automobile-catalog.com/tire/2010/894845/ford_fusion_sport_3_5l_v-6_automatic.html
  12. Here is the site I use to determine correct tire sizes. https://www.automobile-catalog.com/tire/2016/1596770/ford_fusion_2_0l_ecoboost.html This goes direct to the 2016 Fusion. You can plug in your car model.
