  1. I just did the 20,000 mile oil change on my ford se hybrid fusion. The dealership provided me with a pamphlet that listed all the "items" that should be done, telling me they recommended the 15,000 service plan which included something called BG additives, perform caliper slide service, lubricate chassis and some visual checks for only $179. I asked why would i need to have caliper service and BG additives at only 20,000. Long story short was this was the recommendation. I told them no thanks I would do the "Good Works" for $39. Are any of you just do basic oil changes and skipping this BG additives and caliper brake stuff? Have you had any issues by skipping this stuff? It just seems like a money maker for dealership to me and I can't figure out why at 30,000 miles they want to do a service charge of $499.
