  1. Thanks for the input. Yes I just read an article last night about the slow sales and possible factory stops over the summer. Strange as it looks like most of the cars I was interested in have risen in price this last week. Quite opposite the last two months or so when their pricing when down. Sometimes by $1000. I guess I'll wait Ford out on this as the prices should come down with this climate. Not sure any of you mentioned it, but any idea of the private cash coupon? Do they only give that out once to an address? Again I used one in 2014 for my Fiesta. But nothing with several tries last month.
  2. Hello, I've been eyeing up a few 2017 Fusions. I'm in the Washington, DC area where the pricing seems better than many other large cities. (Not just for Ford vehicles) Anyway, I've been tracking pricing of course and do notice some changes during the month, usually down by $500 over a weekend and then back up on Monday or Tuesday. Not every week but every other or third this can happen. Not all vehicles, but noticed this with a few I'm looking at. Anyway, just noticed today a Fusion that was marked down quite a bit from MSRP is suddenly up $2200 this morning. Same car, same vin and same stock number. I've watched this car for well over a month. That's a huge jump in price. They only thing I can think of is Ford has lowered their rebates or incentives starting May 1. I've purchased from this dealer before with no games or added pricing. I assume nothing has changed with them. So long story short, has Ford changed the incentives from April? I don't know what they were in April, only the pricing of the cars I've been looking at. And now that price has significantly risen. Just noticed incentives vary by region. I'm in the Washington, DC area. Lastly, any other way to get private cash besides having brochures sent to your house? I received and used a $500 coupon back in 2014 for a Fiesta. Had several sent to my house in the last month and no coupons. I believe the coupons are $750 off the Fusion so that's too big to pass up. Aka make or break purchasing a Ford. Any tips on getting the private cash would be helpful. Thanks in advance!
  3. Checked out a few today on the lot. I must say the blue looks way better in person! My first time seeing it. Not bad at all and I would for sure own one. The sole reason for me going was to check out the Burgundy color. I don't have many requirements, just a sunroof really on an SE. There's one pretty far from me on sale for supposedly a great price but it's a drive to get there. This dealer is a 5 minute drive. Unfortunately I didn't like the burgundy at all. It was way too dark and you couldn't tell it was red/maroon. Mostly looked black even though it was sunny out. I looked at it from all angles hoping the maroon would come out but I never saw it. Can't buy a car where I totally dislike the color! So the search continues. What's the difference between Oxford White and White Platinum? They didn't have any whites on their small lot so I couldn't compare. Just curious. The base wheels on the SE are pretty bad! Look terrible and very high profile tires. I usually just stick with the stock wheels, but with a base SE I'd have to swap them out. They are that bad. The Appearance Package ones look great! They even had a few basic S models with the Appearance Package. A world of difference.
  4. Like he mentioned, you can order one or expand your search area to give you more options. That's a massive $9k discount you're getting with that one vehicle. I have to ask, does that price include delivery and their doc fee? I see some Washington, DC area dealers with $7k-$10k discounts, but they never include delivery and their doc fees in their online pricing. Which is very misleading. Most of the country doesn't do this and at least delivery is included in online pricing. Definitely break down that dealers pricing if you can. And let us know what's included if you can. As to depreciation, I can't speak about the Fusion, but if it's anything like the Ford Focus or Fiesta, it's absolutely terrible. But if you can get $9k in discounts when you buy, that for sure helps out resale value down the road. Probably not as bad as the cars I mentioned, but it won't nearly be Honda good. Don't buy one if you plan on selling a few years down the road. As far as the blue goes, it probably won't help the resale cause. But in my mind get exactly what you want and worry about that later. Why they dropped the darker 2016 blue I have no idea. Good luck! Titaniums are nice!!
  5. Sorry, may be dumb question but I'm new here. With 7/24 as 2018MY Job 1, does that mean the 2018 cars will hit dealers about the second week of August? Trying to decide to wait until the new ones come out or buy a 2017. Doesn't seem like much of a change for the 2018's. I'm looking for an SE. Also hoping for some larger 2017 incentives before they clear out. I know they change monthly.
