  1. i am not a thumping bass guy either, nor am i an audiophile per say, i just questioned the 390 watts from personal experiences. i guess what would be nice, a little more clarity/separation in the highs, mids, and bass, i guess that is thee mantra for sound systems huh? we are limited in what we can do given the controls on the system, so, hey, it's still a pretty nice set-up regardless.
  2. still and all though the way Ford touts this system, i was expecting all these wonderful audio experiences, but hey what are ya gonna do? i really don't want to sink money into upgrades because knowing me...................... (ask my wife about my G.A.S. with drum equipment, she's does our vocals so she see's it first hand)
  3. i realize this is an old thread, i purchased a 2011 Sport/w moon & tune ( had a 2008 se same deal) june 29th. i am now just getting around to "fine" toothing it. little background, i am a musician, drums for 44 years. i KNOW a little about sound and audio systems. #1 where are the extra 2 speakers in this car? i ran the speaker diagnosis and it is saying 10?!?!?! what up with that? #2 there ain't no way on God's green earth that this system is 390 watts!! i play with a guitar player 18 watts and a bass player 50 watts, beside me every weekend, kinda hard to make the 390 watt claim here. 390 watts would pop the windshield out, well not quite but still, bad info on this system, it would be nice to know frequency responses, sensitivity levels, distortion levels, etc., etc.. actually as much as i love this car and WANT to like the audio system i cannot! let's see, adjust bass up and down, adjust treble up and down, fade left or right or front or rear, pretty basic stuff here. oh well, it's all about the driving experience in the end right?
  4. soooo the "replacement" wheel came in from the ford dealer and it does have the "black chrome" finish. from what i can gather the 2011 sport was the first one of the gen II cars(10,11,12) to have the "black chrome" grill, i have a feeling the odd ball wheel may have been a 2010. the service manager assured me they used the VIN to order this wheel as opposed to just the parts number, and sure enough, a match! if you check out the www.wheelcollision.com you can see the similarities in the finishes. they are close but, still, there is a difference. all is good in SPORT land now!
  5. okay i just bought this car june 29th, out of state, finally got that all straightened (title transfer, registration, blah, blah, blah) out and had it in for (PA) state inspection today. the service manager called me and said "do you know one of your wheels has a differant finish"? actually..... i didn't! BUT i do recall on the carfax the previous owner replaced a wheel. it is silver, the remaining 3 are "smoke brilliant" ( is that the correct description)? i thought i read somewhere on these forums, now i cannot find it to save my soul, that the "smoke" chrome applied to the wheels also. NOW the fun part, where do i get the replacement? been racking my brain on the internet all night, the service guy said he could get a new one for 185.00, part # AE5Z-1007-A but, i have a sneaking suspicion that this will be silver also, can any of you other, FAR MORE knowledgeable guys on all things SPORT, enlighten me? thanks so much!
