2006 Fusion SE ran great until 140,000 miles, appeared to be Throttle Body Sensor going. Car lost power a few times, would reset on startup. Finally died I thought, really rough idle but didnt have to drive it far to get home, finally gave me a check engine light.
Replaced it with https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005FKXN22/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
And a new gasket. Some coolant did spill out, throttle body plug possibly and components under probably have gotten a little wet.
Did relearn, idle was extremely jerky upon startup, puttering but settled down some. Rough idle but shifted ok in a straight run, stuttering and hestitant right before gear change while moving, especially at 1500rpm at 40mph, would have to give it extra gas and hit 2000rpm.
P0352 code after driving it.
Everything looks ok, took off TB again and reinstalled to check all connections, no obvious wire or hose damage.
Does PCM need updating from Ford? Did I fry mine running on a dead TB for 20 or 30min?
My next step is to pull out the PCM to check for any damage. Then pull the intake manifold off and swap the Plug on Coil with another cylinder, replace the Spark Plug in cylinder 2
Any suggestions? I always loved my car, but a simple fix is getting frustrating. I wonder what the CEL code was before I changed the TB....maybe Ill put the stock one back on to see what happen.
