  1. Just saw your post. I would have suggested a battery disconnect, but you beat me to it. By the way, when I worked at Ford, we used to do that often to resolve these types of issues. We called it a Master Reset and warranty would pay us for it.
  2. @Pollie14 , @1995E answered the question. It's an evap issue, either purge valve or vent valve sticking. Get your dealer to test the system.
  3. Former Ford dealer tech here. There was, I believe, a TSB relating to the loose door/window trim pieces you've described. I changed lots of them due to the teeny tiny retainer tabs not holding properly. You should be able to buy new ones fairly cheaply from your local Ford parts department. Alternatively, a good adhesive such as windshield urethane can be used to glue them in place.
  4. What audio system do you have in your hybrid? It makes a difference in the number of speakers and the wire colors.
  5. The SYNC module and APIM (Accessory Protocol Interface Module) are the same. You cannot use the part number that is on that module as it is actually an engineering number. Your best bet is to order by VIN from your local dealer. Be advised that this module needs to be programmed by the dealer after installation in order to work properly. I changed lots of APIM's when I worked at Ford.
  6. Purchased a 14 SE 2.OEB AWD last year and love the car. MPG isn't great but that's city driving for ya. We're at 75K and I'd like to get new plugs. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  7. Former Ford technician here. Ford's software does not normally allow adding OEM options to the vehicle once it's been built. The only exception to that rule that I am aware of is certain remote starters on certain models.

  9. HI all! We are new to the forum. We purchased a used 14 AWD SE on Wednesday and we absolutely love the car. We have the A8 nav card installed. Besides buying an A9 card online or from Ford, is there a way to download the files for an A9 card? Thanks in advance for any advice.
  10. Have you tried a Master Reset? You can access this through the settings menu on the FCIM (touchscreen) or you can disconnect the battery for ten minutes. This will reset everything, including deleting any paired phones.
